Welcome to the MarinaNova HMD! This is optional, but encouraged.

• List your characters for which you'd like feedback. We have a form below if you like forms!

• Leave your tactful and considered thoughts, questions, concerns, praise, suggestions, etc. for others.

We strongly encourage you to make this a dialogue. Find out what went into actions, decisions, and characterization and you may come to understand it better. Hopefully, you'll also be in the best position to clearly communicate your own concerns. Results will be more satisfactory for everyone if one person isn't on the offensive while the other is on the defensive.

Avoid leaving someone a wall of text. This can be intimidating even with the most careful of wording and best of intentions.

Don't gang up on someone. You may have a different way of wording something, but unless you have something new to contribute, consider letting it go if there are already others saying it.

Be constructive and considerate.

• Since there is no plotting meme during months with an HMD, please feel free to do that here too.

• Contact a mod if you have any problems.

Sometimes I worry that I don’t give enough in his tags because he’s so calm and monosyllabic, so I try to give things for people to respond to in action rather than words. But he really isn’t that wordy. As far as plotting goes, he has lots of dramatic wolfy aftermath stuff going on right now, so he’s good. But he’s also open to most anything. So I’ve been working on making her a little more concise in her rambling. I’d like to eventually do something with her mystical key-ness since the comics are playing it up so much right now. My biggest concern with Bart, for those of you who're familiar with the DCU, is that I'm not properly striking the balance between the man he will become (Barry Allen, the 2nd Flash) and the happy-go-lucky kid in Smallville. As for plotting, Bart's incredibly easy-going and curious, so I'm open to almost anything. I do have this problem that I don't know a lot of the fandoms represented here, though, and so I do tend to be a bit hesitant about tagging characters I don't know. That doesn't mean I don't want you to tag Jack, though, on the rare occasions he does put up an open post! Which should be happening very soon, as a matter of fact – he and Ianto are going to be having a Christmas party, with plenty of booze and resultant shenanigans, so please, if you've been wanting to tag Jack (or Ianto) and didn't know how, send your character along to that! How am I handling Aidan's PTSD? Is it too subtle? Not subtle enough? Does Reid's slow descent into an existential crisis come across or should I play that up more? What about Spike's chip-plot and his snail-paced journey to some sort of character development? In general, is there anything you'd like to see more/less/not at all? I have been trying my best to not let tags sit more than 48 hours, but I do realize that they'll sit sometimes up to a week. I've been working at getting better, so I do hope everyone will forgive me on that. My main concern now is characterization over timing, as I'm already aware and working on the latter. Player name: Sari Character: Zero Kiryuu | Vampire Knight | notamasochist | ☑ Comments: Series just recently ended and so I am doing a little bit of fine-tuning my characterization right now. He's at a really weird place characterization-wise due to his canon point and I'd sort of like to play with his conflicting and changing emotions about vampires/humans and such. I know I really need to work on tagging speed and getting him out there again. My motivation has been nil of late and it's really showing. There are a lot of things I'd like to do with him but just haven't yet. I'm trying to get more CR with the vampires in the facility and those around them. He was a lot more out there and involved when I had him here last, I'm trying to get him back to that point. More vampires and their friends. More DF stuff. More stuff with his roommates. I need to get him in more classes and possibly have him teach or pick up a job somewhere. Just thinking a little... (Reply to this)
