Game-wide HMD/plotting
Welcome to the MarinaNova HMD! This is optional, but encouraged.

• List your characters for which you'd like feedback. We have a form below if you like forms!

• Leave your tactful and considered thoughts, questions, concerns, praise, suggestions, etc. for others.

We strongly encourage you to make this a dialogue. Find out what went into actions, decisions, and characterization and you may come to understand it better. Hopefully, you'll also be in the best position to clearly communicate your own concerns. Results will be more satisfactory for everyone if one person isn't on the offensive while the other is on the defensive.

Avoid leaving someone a wall of text. This can be intimidating even with the most careful of wording and best of intentions.

Don't gang up on someone. You may have a different way of wording something, but unless you have something new to contribute, consider letting it go if there are already others saying it.

Be constructive and considerate.

• Since there is no plotting meme during months with an HMD, please feel free to do that here too.

• Contact a mod if you have any problems.

Anonymous commenting is on. It will be turned off if there is abuse.

I've finally watched some TVD and can say without a doubt that you really got Elena's voice down! I can hear her clearly in every tag I read and I do get that... Elena sense about her, so good job on that!

I do have one thing to bring up: thread dropping. It's been a trend for a while now where I feel like some threads never get the chance to come to a conclusion before they're dropped? (I also know I have one thread with Elena and Reid right now that never got tagged back at all but shit happens). Maybe I've just had bad luck and I can certainly understand feeling overwhelmed and wanting to nuke the inbox, but I'm wondering if it could be an idea to try and wrap threads up instead? Especially when they can be concluded in two or three tags.

Yes, you're entirely right. Thread-dropping is something I'm really terrible at (or awesome at, depending on how you look at ) and I've been trying to work on it and know I need to be more conscious of it. Last month I set up a system in my mailbox where I flag the threads I haven't replied to yet and therefore I can't lose them. (I don't like to delete emails. I can find anything just by simply searching! Including threads! Ironically. I just didn't remember I still had a few to reply to.) I know what thread you're talking about; last month was killer for me, time- and cr-wise and I totally dropped the ball on it because I felt so behind and thought I'd eventually get to it, as I did with a lot of threads.

It really is either bad luck (I might have just forgot in the past or more recently forgotten to flag the comment) and poor time-management and sometimes even laziness on my part, especially when a thread is reaching a natural conclusion. I really do need to get into the habit of not thread-dropping and wrapping things up, and I'm sorry if it's ever negatively impacted you or anyone else.

So, yeah. Thank you for bringing it to my attention because I'm definitely going to work on it. I really enjoy our cr and I've been unreliable at times in seeing it through.

And thanks. :3 I'm so excited you're watching TVD!! What do you think?

No problem! It's not a huge deal but I figured I should at least bring it up since that's what HMD's are for!

So far I really like TVD! I probably would've gotten a lot further (I finished the first season) if I didn't have other things to catch up on, but I'm sure I'll pick it back up again soon. The TVD cast here is definitely to blame for that so take some credit!
