[Day 329] In Bloom Event/Dance Mingle
[DAYTIME: Walking in a floral wonderland. Not to be confused with an actual wonderland. Completely different event. You could be anywhere and everywhere today and not escape the petals.

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

(OOC: Event INFO. Feel free to have your mingle set up cover both aspects of the day.)

I normally do. [But really, she's pleased that he didn't just outright turn her down. She takes his hand and walks out with this to the dance floor. She doesn't let go of his hand as she turns in towards him, just places her other hand on his shoulder.]

It's been a while since I danced, so I might be a little rusty.

[Turn her down? That was never going to happen. Not even with his recluse ways due to an unfortunate history of all the women in his life ending up dead. Okay, maybe he should be a little more careful accepting dancing invitations.]

Then it's lucky for you I do this all the time. [He smiles to show he's kidding and figures she's probably just saying it to put him at ease. She has that way about her.]

[She chuckles, smiling back at him. He's sweet and truly she does enjoy dancing. She couldn't see anything going wrong with this idea at all.]

Then I'm very lucky to have nabbed you as a dance partner. [She turns in towards him before stepping in to rest her hand on his shoulder.]

I promise not to do anything too fancy. [Really. Cross his heart. He smiles at her and those are really nice eyes she has.]

Why thank you. [She dips her head a little, still grinning.] That's awfully kind of you to be so considerate.

[She looks up at him as they begin to move along with the music.]

So are these types of celebrations normal?

They're not uncommon. I'm not sure that makes them normal. [Smiling a little.] I'm not sure anything here is.
