[Day 329] In Bloom Event/Dance Mingle
[DAYTIME: Walking in a floral wonderland. Not to be confused with an actual wonderland. Completely different event. You could be anywhere and everywhere today and not escape the petals.

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

(OOC: Event INFO. Feel free to have your mingle set up cover both aspects of the day.)

[She's quick to pick it up, mirroring each step precisely, although it's more mechanical than graceful. She hasn't really figured out the whole rhythm thing yet. To her it's more like a pattern to be memorized.]

Reading intentions? This sounds like combat. I suppose there are some similarities.

[If it helps, she is doing very well for her first time. He's certain she'll figure it out or else he could continue to help her.]

There are. Dancing is as much of a hobby as it is an exercise that stimulates your body's endurance with strength and flexibility. You can learn a lot about a person from the way one dances as well.

[He'll slightly move away from her and raise the hand that is holding her hand.]

The best way to know when your partner wishes for you to turn is from the way they will take a step back, then raise your hand like this and softly lead you around. [After explaining he will slowly help her with the turn before holding her hand once more and bringing her back to their original positions.] Normally the turn is one smooth motion and doesn't usually disturb the dance. There will be times that inexperience dancers will not only push, but pull you back with too much force. Be careful when it occurs.

[Her movements are just as economical and mechanical through the spin as they have been up until now but she giggles in delight at the twirl.]

Are you a dance instructor at home, Conrart-san? I have never met anyone who knows so much about this subject.

No. I'm afraid not. I simply have experience in attending events like these. There are only a few dance styles I am most familiar with other than this one.

[And seeing that she enjoyed the twirl, he'll decide to do it once more.]

Let's try to dance the steps I have shown you once more. Are you ready?

It is still very impressive. To me events like this are very intimidating. I do not think I could attend that many of them.

[She comes out of the twirl looking determined.]

I am ready. I remember them.
