[Day 329] In Bloom Event/Dance Mingle
[DAYTIME: Walking in a floral wonderland. Not to be confused with an actual wonderland. Completely different event. You could be anywhere and everywhere today and not escape the petals.

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

(OOC: Event INFO. Feel free to have your mingle set up cover both aspects of the day.)

Mmm. Maybe the hospitals with the bots has medications against allergies. I heard they have good things, there, for those brave enough to deal with the machines.

[ And then, a shrug. ]

A couple of sectors. It's trying to figure out where the important things are. How to get to them. Seems like an important thing to know, early on, even if people here seem helpful enough if you ask questions.

But if anyone gets hurt... I want to know exactly how to get them to some help the fastest.

I'll have to pay a visit to the hospital at some point. It'd be interesting to see the way it works.

[A nod will be offered.]

That's a good point. Finding the best routes to move in case of an emergency is a good idea. So far, I know Sector 6 is one of the more dangerous sectors to visit even on a ordinary day.

There're two of them, I was told. One run by our, ah, hosts, and one ran by inmates like us. The former has better equipment and supplies, but was described as creepy.

I had no idea there are two hospitals, but with the way you described the warden one then I am not surprised for there being a second one. I'll have to pay it a visit as well.

[He'll begin to toy with his visor as he begins to search for a map of the locations as Yuuri taught him.]

Sector 5 is the warden hospital while in sector 3 is the inmate one. It'll be quite a trip to visit both. I'll have to ask Yuuri more about it later. [Then he turns to Neil, feeling curious.] Do you have friends here who are from home, by any chance?

[ Neil nods, easily - he hasn't actually been setting goals for himself, since that might mean he'll miss something - but checking specific things also has merit. Then he chuckles. ]

Yeah, actually. My [ twin ] brother and another colleague... friend from home, too. You?

I only have a someone I am responsible for. He's a friend from home as well.

It would seem we are both rather fortunate to have someone from home here. I've been told not many have been given the same stroke of luck. It's rare to have someone from home here.

Do you and your brother share the same profession as your colleague from home?

... that usually helps, I guess. Somebody to be responsible for. I'm just not sure that being in a prison with no way out is fortunate... but, yeah, it's better than being alone, that's for sure.

[ Neil rubs the back of his neck. The answer to that is a little complicated - they weren't all three sharing the same work when Neil was alive. But they do now, only he and his twin never did it at the same time. ]

Yeah, I guess you can say that. I mean, yeah, though Lyle took things up for me at one point. So Tieria's worked with both of us, but we haven't worked together.

Sorry, that's kinda confusing, I know. Let's go with 'yes' for simplicity's sake?

It is. [Although, he does have to admit.] As thrilled as I am in having him by my side, I do wish he weren't here all at once. In a way, I do envy those who are in this setting alone... [They have less to worry about, are the words he will not say out loud. Of course, he wasn't the type to be ungrateful over being given a gift like this one. He was happy to have Yuuri by his side. Being with him calms his nerves and gives him hope, but he does wish for him never had found his way to the prison.]

It does sound quite complicated, as you have so eloquently said. I'll accept it as an affirmative in the same career path except working in different times. [That is how he understood it, at least. He would have asked about his job, but decided against it by the way Neil was fumbling for an answer earlier.] I do hope you take the moment to spend quality time with them both. I have brothers as well.

Maybe we can all find a way out, for those who have somewhere to go.

[ Neil's words are quiet, but steady. And he's very, very aware of that latter clause he just said. ]

[It'll definitely catch Conrad's attention, but he won't pry over the meaning behind it. After all, they just met and those words feel a little too heavy to be conveniently discuss about.]

It would be a good idea to do so. At the very least, to save those who do not belong here -- those who are truly innocent. [Although he speaks those words, his smile will remain except it will be weaker than the previous one as he thought about it more deeply.]

[ Small nod. ]

Exactly. Or, if not completely innocent [ because very few people are ] at least nowhere near deserving a life sentence.

I think that's what the Defense Force is trying to do, in-between crises.
