[Day 329] In Bloom Event/Dance Mingle
[DAYTIME: Walking in a floral wonderland. Not to be confused with an actual wonderland. Completely different event. You could be anywhere and everywhere today and not escape the petals.

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

(OOC: Event INFO. Feel free to have your mingle set up cover both aspects of the day.)

[Liv is scoping out the food table. Everything looks super bland to her now that she needs a lot of kick to even notice she's eating something. Also, no brain appetizers. Not that she'd take one in front of all these people.]

Do you think those are jalapenos on that mini-flatbread thing?

Could be? I haven't tried them. [Jalapenos and green bells looked the same chopped all tiny.] Do you not like jalapenos?

No, I do. I like my food to have a little kick. [And by kick she means a hint of flavor she can only get from really intense flavor these days.] I guess it's all free, so there's no harm in finding out the old-fashioned way. [She picks one up and puts it on a napkin.]

Hi. [Because she missed that part before and these strangers aren't going to just stay strangers. There aren't enough of them for that.]

[Carol tips her head, very true, and go right ahead.

She also smiles.]
Hi. You're new? I'm Carol. [She gathers up her own little plate of munchies.]

Liv. Very new. It's my second day and I'm in prison at the prom apparently. Who knew I'd need a date already. I've heard that's something to avoid in prison.

Well, in that case, welcome to you very first prison prom. Most people here are surprisingly decent. I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks. So, not the criminal element you were expecting?

Not at all. A lot of young people. I'm not even convinced it's a prison.

What would it be instead?

I'm not sure. An experiment? I've heard that theory. It seems plausible.

I used to wonder how the lab rats felt when we studied them. I guess it's my turn.

Yes, well, be prepared. They've set up some incredible obstacles since I've been here.

Not to my knowledge.

I guess I don't even know what the cheese would be in this case. Well, except... [Nodding to an actual plate of cheeses the bots put out for them.]

I don't think anyone knows. If there is such a thing. Like I said, just a theory.

I guess there's lots of time for inventing theories. What are we supposed to do around here except getting non-orange clothes and going to random dances?

Surviving whatever they throw at us. There are various activities, if you get an itch. Some people are looking for a way out.

Survival, dances, and looking for secret passage ways behind book shelves. Got it.

A+ in prison? It's just what I always wanted. You too probably.
