[Day 329] In Bloom Event/Dance Mingle
[DAYTIME: Walking in a floral wonderland. Not to be confused with an actual wonderland. ~~Completely different event.~~ You could be anywhere and everywhere today and not escape the petals.

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

[Flowers, flowers everywhere! Everything is a garden and Euphie really couldn't be more pleased with the results. Everything is colorful and beautiful and...and it reminds her of home. No, Britannia wasn't quite this floral, but Marianne's garden was what she thought of most when she thought of "the good times." The times when they were still all together. It can be bittersweet, but today she's savoring the sweet.]

[For the first time in a long while, Nathan is feeling... pretty okay, actually. Relatively clear-headed and in control. He even spent a few hours during the day sleeping a sound, dreamless sleep, which did wonders for his mood.

Kind of. You know, compared to the moods he's usually in.

He shows up to the dance in the usual dark, long-sleeved shirt and carrying the biggest, pinkest flower that he could find. Guess who it's for!]

[Sam is wearing a suit and tie. No flowers, but it's still strange for him. After all, he's usually pretending to be an FBI agent or something similar when he dresses this way. He's not sure how much of Sam fits into the look. But it's a dance, not an existential crisis. He's here to observe and make sure nothing dangerous happens. He could possibly also be here to snack and dance if the circumstances lend themselves to that.]

I'm glad to see they still have dances.

[Brienne walks up next to him, as she makes a gesture out toward the crowd. Because indeed it is a dance. People are moving rythmically to some sort of music that she barely registers as music, on the other hand she has never been a very musical person. Standing next to him, he's probably the only person in the room she does not tower over. In fact, it seems that he is a little taller than her. A very unusual, but welcome sensation.]

[The flowery day fills the air with a smell reminiscent of the one that clings to the Kings High Gardens, sweet and heavy, draping itself around the insides of ones nostrils, forcing them open. A rather heavy blow one could call it. But yet it is nice. Brienne spends most of the day walking around and watching all the fresh flowers, rejoicing in the fact the only moisture seems to be coming from the air and not from a dome trying to drown her.

At the dance she is, well, present. It is not her first dance, not by a long shot, but it is the strangest. Towering over most people in the room her cold eyes search it. Nothing flowery is on her person, but she IS wearing a very tough leather jacket. Something someone on a motorbike might wear. It is the closest thing she has found that resembles some sort of armour. Against a wall she stands still, watching closely, smiling at this day that in a way, although ever so slightly, reminds her of a place that can be called home.]

[Chekov has, prior to today, had little interest in flowers. Because he is both bored and tired of failing to come up with a miraculous escape plan, he decides to spend the day pretending to care about them. That there is a nice selection of food and gaudy clothes to enjoy makes pretending to care so easy that he catches himself having a decent time.

He absconds with a floral suit jacket and, after absorbing all knowledge the museum has to offer, hangs around the hor d'oeuvres. Food is excellent company. Not that he would refuse human company, of course!]
