Day 305 : MISTLETOE BOT MINGLE
[You won't hear them coming. You won't see their snare. The mistletoe bots are out and they're hunting you, two by two. You can run and you can hide, but eventually you will be caught, and then there's nothing left to do but kiss your way out!

Chapstick stations will be available.]

[Once she swallows.] I don't have very hard tests, but I think it's good. You?

I've had worse. [ She'd rather not stand in one place while they eat, though - just in case there are more bots about. A moving target is harder to snare.

Shall they stroll? ]

[Strolling works for her.] Is this your first day with the mistletoe bots or were you here for the last ones?

One previous round, I think. [ She's sure of it, actually, but she also has spans of time where she forgets to keep track of how long she's been here.

A small laugh. ]
This one's been nicer.

That's good to hear, [A curious glance] unless it's because something bad happened last time?

[ Haruka shrugs and eats some okonomiyaki. The place just takes some getting used to, is all. ] How many times have they done this, d'you know?

This is my fourth time I think, but I don't remember all my early time in the prison and I was missing for a couple of weeks.

It was a long time ago now. [As long as anything can be in a prison that hasn't yet existed a full year.]

[ Haruka thinks this over and opts for half a change of topic. She's had something on her mind lately. ]

....have you ever gone into Sector 6?

Yes, once. A friend chose to have a birthday celebration in there. It's beautiful, but...not entirely pleasant. [Even with a large group watching out for their protection she managed to come out with an injured wrist from the experience.] Why do you ask?

[ There's a moment where Haruka considers refusing to answer the question. But she started this, and Euphie has experience with the Wardens. It's not like she's taking the other woman in there with her.

She tips her head towards the sky, musing. ]
If you had total control over the environment and you didn't want anyone to discover something, you'd hide it in the most dangerous place, right?

I've been thinking things like that lately.

Do you mean another inmate? [Not sure that's the answer, but curious about what Haruka is thinking.]

[ Hiding an inmate, or an inmate hiding things? Either way, Haruka shrugs. ] It's unknown territory, is all.

[ Planning on going into Sector 6 to just poke around who her that's not what she's thinking at all except it totally is. ]

[An inmate hiding things. After all, some have incredible powers.] Yes, I suppose it is. What do you think might be there waiting for discovery?

That's what I'm hoping to find out. [ "A way out" sounds so....absurdly optimistic now that she's confronted with the option of saying it aloud. ]

Is that stupid?

[ Haruka's gut reaction is to insist she's fine, but she respects the woman enough to be a bit more honest.

So she goes for suave instead. ]
I couldn't let anything happen to you.

[ Funny, that's how all her own advice ends up going. Haruka eats some more of her snack. ] Always.

[ ....she'll think about it a lot before potentially acting on it. Does that count? ]
