[Yeah, even with his own complete lack of personal boundaries, he's aware that this might be a bit close for comfort for most people, so he makes a soft sound of a agreement and gets an elbow on the ground for support before leaning down and kissing her. Gently, because he's aware she's got her head against the sand and absolutely nowhere to retreat to, but very, very warmly, with affection and fondness and tenderness.]

[She responds to the kiss. Sure, part of that might be because she knows the bots won't go away if she half asses it, but there's also something in her that just needs some of that affection and tenderness right now. There's also a certain amount of Jack-specificness to her reaction and she'd be a liar if she claimed otherwise. It still takes her some time to relax more into it, but she's been carrying a lot of tension with her for a long time and relaxing at all is a feat. She's not sure how or when her hand got on his back, but there it is too.]

[He can feel the way she's reacting, as if she hasn't got nearly enough affection lately, and it makes his heart ache for her.

It also makes him pull away far sooner than he would like to - only a bare minute or so after he feels the soft shower of confetti on the back of his head - because he knows she'll hate him later if he takes advantage of her neediness.

He does it gently, though, gradually easing his lips away from hers and rolling back onto his side beside her, keeping an arm across her waist so she doesn't feel he's abandoning her completely.]

[More like she'd hate herself for it. She's already not feeling so hot about this day. She probably should have pulled a Reid and stayed locked up in the apartment, but it's hard to be in there too. It was their home together and his before it was hers.

She's quiet for a few moments after he rolls away, just lifting a hand up to brush some of the confetti from her face.]
