[ Camping out on the beach is fun, right? Sleeping under the stars, lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the rustling in the palm fronds. This isn't a refugee camp, this is a resort!

Several larger tents have been prepared on the beach. If this isn't enough there's a bunch of smaller ones ready to be set up, along with the permanent beach huts if tents aren't your thing. The makings of hot dogs and s'mores are available by the fire pits and if you have additional dietary desires, the convenience store isn't far away!

We did a lot of things before we were together. [She steps forward and slips her arms around him. There's a moment of awkwardness before it melts into something familiar and very, very needed. She probably didn't find herself just enjoying the way he smelled like him back when they weren't together so much, but that's what's so hard about this. Where do they draw lines especially when she doesn't want any lines?]

[ It does feel weird but also really, really good. She was his best friend before she became his girlfriend and if it's possible, he'd like to think that going back to that might actually be the thing to save them. There are urges here, impulses that haven't died out. Just temporarily drowned in a sea of grief and maybe if she can be his raft for a little while, he can get out of the water. ]

No, but she helped me make punishment cookies. Then again, they made Rebecca sick so maybe it's not such a good idea after all.

I'm not just good for walking through stuff. I wonder what I would have done if I'd lived in a world like yours. [Where her parents could have survived. Where humanity would have been surviving and she would have been one of them. Lots of things to think about there, but does her mind wander over to the corner where it would have meant maybe she could have been something a little more respectable like...a geneticist? It does. For reasons.]

She doesn't know what color hair Maeve had, but he made sure to say she was a geneticist a couple of times and even before there was a Maeve she worried sometimes that never being able to start or finish college was a problem. She wouldn't have actually been a geneticist. Not with what they did in her world, but she could have been something else. But even unrelated to Reid that thought has come to her ever since her arrival in this place.]

Bunch of jerks in this crowd. It's like you can't trust an inmate.
