Because I'll die if I do? [ She's explained this so many times already and yet it's still so... complicated. ]

Ned has a gift. If he touches a dead thing once, he can bring it back to life. If he touches it again... dead. Forever. There's also a time limit and consequences if you go beyond that but that's not really the point. [ She draws a breath. ] I died. On a cruise. Someone came up from behind and killed me and dumped my body in the ocean and next thing I know, I wake up in a coffin and there's Ned, the boy I've loved my entire life. He brought me back. I got him back and now...

Now we have each other against all odds. That should be enough, but... we can't touch or kiss or anything.

[ But yes. ] I mean... we've already kind of talked about it only there wasn't that much talking and a whole lot more agreeing that it wasn't a solution for us, but I can't help but wonder if we didn't think it through enough. I love him and I want to be with him, but we can't and that's...

It’s really tough. [Giving her a sympathetic look.] Unfortunately, there’s no easy answer. While the concept of polyamory is great in principle, it doesn’t work for everyone. And – well. He’s not even here to consent to anything, which complicates it a whole lot more.
