Initially, I was rejected. I was really pissed off, upset, especially with Lacus because it was her who told me that I should join. She was also one half of the leaders at the time, so ultimately it was her and Suzaku's decision. Needless to say I hated her after I was rejected and felt she led me on just to stomp on me.

[He opens the door and holds it open for Aidan.]

It was the day there was some gas that made me talk about my situation with my sister that made Lacus turn into a softy for me, I guess. And a couple days afterwards she got my rejection revoked.

For starters, I want Hijikata dead because I need his position. Should he ever die and get replaced with someone else, then that someone else would be my next target. Anyone who gets in my way would make themselves a target.

[Death and destruction, his ideas of fun! Then he holds up a second finger and continues to explain. More of his crazy, megalomaniac ideas, yes.]

And secondly, if Kondo were to leave for whatever reason, because he wanted a change or whatever, I would then need his position. If I'm going to control the police force, I need his position to do so.
