Not right when I got here. The next day. But I didn't know anything about the place yet. I was still in the jumpsuit and Piper made me food because I was still hungry since the peach Hoggle gave did nothing but... I don't know... it wasn't good.

That's good right? Then you can get the help you need and everything will be OK.

Piper was one of the first people to say hi to me. She fed me and helped me find a place to live. I live in the Clocktower. Or the apartments there.

It's really neat! I can decorate it however I want. So there's dragons and fairies and phoenixes all over the place. I'm not done yet, but I really like it.

A genius? That's good then. What's he like?

That's cool. [That's girly, but she's a girl, so it's cool for her.] Are you the only person in the whole apartment?

I don't know Doctor Reid that well. [Well, he knows Reid's route to work and sort of stalked him, but that doesn't mean anything.] At home, the FBI thought I was killing people and he was the only person who believed me when I told them I didn't do it. He kept me from dying when I tried to kill myself, too, but I told him not to and he didn't listen.

Yes I'm the only person! I mean, it's kind of lonely sometimes, but there's no one to tell me what to do, or when to go to bed or anything like that. And I kind of like it.

[Except the cooking. Her cooking leaves much to be desired.

Sarah has more questions. More questions she really should ask but she doesn't get a chance to because one of the mistletoe bots ambushes them and begins shouting at them to kiss.]

[He's going to tell her that he hopes he'll be allowed to move out on his own (even if it doesn't seem likely), and that getting to do anything without asking permission sounds good, but then there's a bot. A loud one.

Nathan has had to deal with one of these bots already today, and he's afraid that this one will draw attention to them.]

We have to kiss for it to stop. Is that okay?

[He closes his eyes the moment it looks like she's going in for a kiss. It's quick--over and done before Nathan can worry about what else he's neglecting to do.

The annoying robot does indeed shower them with confetti. Nathan steps back as well, brushing confetti off the shoulders and sleeves of his black coat. He's almost happy. That's two girls he's kissed now and he didn't have any thoughts about hurting them. Not one. He doesn't know what it means, but it has to be a good thing.]

You know... in the stories. There's the dragons that have four legs and wings. And then there's the wyrms.

[She sits down and reaches up to tug on his hand to bring him down with her. Then she flips a page to show him the snake like creature.] So more like sea serpents and stuff. And there's wyverns. They have wings instead of front logs.

[This is clearly something she's interested in.

Maybe that's why they're always bad. I mean, not all dragons are supposedly bad, but the wyrms are always causing trouble.

This always bothered me. Why are maidens always so helpless? I mean, I was going to save my brother and I didn't need any knights in shiny armor to come save me from the Goblin King or anything. But she just cowers there and waits for someone to save her. I think I'd fight or something.

That's just how all the stories go. Doesn't mean they're true. [They so don't need to talk about helpless, cowering women.] Besides, a while ago, basically only men could write because women weren't supposed to, so they probably wrote about how they'd want things to go if they were fighting a dragon.

	I don't know. I mean, I didn't know fairies were real. Or Goblins or Dwarves. But I met all of them. So maybe they are and we just haven't seen them yet.. [She nods.] I guess. I'm not much of a writer. More of a reader and actor. Except I've never acted in anything. Just... acted out things for myself in the park. I think that's why Irene makes me babysit every weekend. She thinks I should have friends or date or something like that instead of acting out my favorite scenes of books.

It'd be better if my dad talked to me more, but he doesn't always. And he never talks about my mom. My real one. She ran away to New York to become an actress. But he won't tell me anything about her, and he pretty much lets Irene tell me what to do.

Sometimes that's why. But I've never done a school play. Only the stuff I read about. By myself. It's never seemed necessary to do anything else. In fact, before I ended up in the Labyrinth to save my brother, I was acting out a scene from the book.
