[ Haruka doesn't think much of crossing paths with this near-stranger. His face looks familiar - ah, one of the players on the other baseball team. She had to picture him in the uniform to get it.

So she nods, coolly, intending to go her merry way - except suddenly she can't anymore. That's weird.

She looks behind herself to see if this guy's noticed it too. ] Uh, did you...?

[ Close to four months in this place and almost everyone is someone you know — he doesn't think too much of the nod, just reciprocates with a small smile and.

Well. Walks into a barrier. Isn't this familiar. There's a slight oof at the collision, followed by a string of curses under his breath. ]

[ For a moment Haruka almost thinks he means it's some kind of power he can't control - she wouldn't put it past this place - but all that glancing makes her wonder. (The "sir" she lets slide. This also happens often.)

Haruka looks around too, trying to figure out what he's searching for. ] The Wardens?

[ At that, the field bumps against her back. She steps forward, closer to her new companion. ]

Ah... [ The bands stay on even after somebody leaves? That's new to Haruka.

She doesn't have much time to contemplate it (or his situation), though: the bot informs them they should "Kiss!" a bit more insistently than before, and the field shrinks enough that Haruka bumps her nose against Aidan's head. She tries to smirk at him, but this is awkward. She does feel better about this now that she's gotten an idea of what kind of guy Aidan is, but the bots must not see things that way. ]

...Looks like getting to know each other isn't encouraged.

[ That's reassuring - if nothing else, it reinforces her opinion of Aidan, which in turn makes him seem even more like the kind of guy it might be fun to hang out with. The current circumstances are just...extenuating.

When the pressure from the force field suddenly releases, Haruka looks up in surprise just in time to get confetti to the face. ]
