[He trails off as he finally notices the bot above them, and in the few seconds it takes him to understand their situation, the bot is able to trap them within its invisible barrier. Of course he doesn't know this yet with the barrier being invisible and all, so he ends up running head first into it when he tries to speed away in an attempt to create some space between them. The force of the impact causes him to stagger a little, and he brings up a hand to hold his head. He can't believe he did that again.]

...I'm really starting to hate this holiday.

	She'll probably even have us dig our own graves before she does, too. [It's a halfhearted joke at best, as he's mentally kicking himself for getting trapped. [He sends a final look in the bot's direction, before moving closer to Zatanna so he can gently press his lips against hers, his right hand settling lightly on her hip out of instinct. The kiss doesn't last for more than a few seconds, and she'll have to forgive him if he doesn't put a whole lot of effort into it, but it's apparently good enough for the bot, as it releases confetti down upon them after he pulls away before hurrying off to find its next victims.]

I, uh, think the confetti's going a little overboard, don't you?

[There were no fireworks. The earth didn't move. It wasn't quite as awkward as she remembered or expected--though there was that slight twinge of guilt as she realized she was not only kissing her best friend's guy, but couldn't make up for it by going to to kill her own guy--and she even smiled when the robots showered then in confetti. Holding up a hand humorously, as if she would be able to catch some of it.]

Whatever it is, I'm not cleaning it up.

Not interested in those extra rehabilitation points, huh.

[Once he's certain that he's taken care of the confetti, he clears his throat and his expression takes a turn for the serious.]

So... do we tell Artemis about this?

[He's genuinely confused about what the protocol is for this sort of thing. It might not of meant anything and wasn't something he wanted to do, but it was still a kiss. And it wasn't the first ~~or the last~~ time he's been caught by the bots today.]
