[Devil's Compass]

[Tyki can't really recall how many of these days he's seen. He's long since given up on trying to avoid the bots entirely, but he does stay out of their way as much as he can. He goes about his day as usual, opening up the Compass at noon and cleaning up the barspace with routine grace. He can be found in there or just outside, fixing a squeaky hinge on the door.]

[Elsewhere]

[Tyki takes walks every night, to a bed of glittering stars falsely hanging in the sky and the silence and shadows that come when darkness rolls out. Shirt cuffs rolled up to his elbows, he walks along not unknowning to the terrors that fly around -- but he waited long enough to take his walk and how many souls can really be out at this time of night?]

Despite living in the same sector, Jack’s only been in the Devil’s Compass a few times. Frankly, he’s far more of a coffee drinker than an alcohol drinker, but what with the recent tension with Spike and the day’s fun activities, he’s feeling in the mood for a drink this evening, so for once he decides to head to his local bar.

He knows Tyki as the barman (and from speaking to Kitty and Garcia) but he’s never really spoken to him beyond ordering a drink. But tonight, as he asks for a glass of Scotch, he hears an eager little “Kiss! Kiss!” behind him and realises he’d forgotten the little bot he’s been more or less keeping as a pet all afternoon, and that it’s followed him into the bar.

He cocks an eyebrow at Tyki. “Oh dear. Sorry about that.”

He doesn’t sound particularly sorry.

[Jack glances back lazily over his shoulder, and then gives Tyki a bright smile.]

I think it likes me. It's been following me around.

[The bot, meanwhile, is pushing closer, and Jack can already feel the slight buzz of the forcefield against his backside. Okay, this could get interesting, since there’s the bar between him and Tyki.]

Guess we’d better do as it says!

[His eyes flicker over Jack in a briefly accusatory way, you've been toting this thing around with you, have you?

Then he rolls his eyes, but doesn't seem to mind the bar being in the way.] Fine, but if I catch that thing in here again, you're kicked out.

[He'll lean, head tilted to one side for a hopefully chaste kiss; granted he's at the mercy of a tiny robot. He doesn't expect much, but he has standards to maintain - so the kiss won't fail to meet them, either way.]
