[You won't hear them coming. You won't see their snare. The mistletoe bots are out and they're hunting you, two by two. You can run and you can hide, but eventually you will be caught, and then there's nothing left to do but kiss your way out!]

[ with the completion of her regeneration cycle, seven, for the most part, recalls being in marinanova. there are few things that are still fuzzy, like a transmission whose datastream is corrupt or incomplete, but for the most part, her memory is clear. she's been here before, had connections and made friends, even put down what she dares to call roots — or as close to it as an ex-drone who aims to find a way out of this place can come to putting them down. it makes her more at ease with her surroundings, and when she heads out for the day, she's considerably less on edge than she was the previous morning; less prone to snap at the hand that's trying to help her.

seven can thus be found wandering around various sectors throughout the morning and afternoon. namely sector 2 near the library, education center, computer lab, and media store; shopping around at bull's eye in sector 3; and browsing through items at the row and bike store in sector 4. ]

[ it could be read as a callous comment were it coming from anyone else, but seven is a matter-of-fact type, often opting to comment on the state of something than trivial matters surrounding it. the one more likely to speak up in regards to a conflict most are avoiding talking about — and about how they are avoiding it — than remark about the weather. ]

[ seven, bullheaded as ever, attempts to walk through the force field. were she still more borg than human, her skin discolored and largely covered by a drone's exoskeletal plating, she would be able to pass right through it with ease, her body adapting to the shield's frequency modulations. but although her body is still capable of doing just that, the proper adjustments haven't been made to her implants and the result is nothing but pain. it doesn't stop her from trying it again, resisting the demand in vain because she has no desire to kiss someone who is not data. ]

I will not comply. [ eric's fangs don't even phase her, her attention — her glare as good as her captain's — directed at the invading, demanding robot. ]

[Nathan has already had a couple of run-ins with the mistletoe bots. They weren't bad, exactly, since he's never kissed anyone, but he's currently en route to his new home, armed with a cheerful book(Serial Killers: Psychiatry, Criminology & Responsibility) from the library. He has unwisely chosen to read and walk simultaneously, which, inevitably, leads to bumping into people in the most literal sense.

When he bumps into Seven, the "sorry" dies on his lips when he glances at her. He's a fifteen year-old boy; she's a gorgeous woman. Of course he doesn't have anything to say.]

[ seven's well aware of the fact that she's physically attractive. she'd seen the evident appreciation for her outward appearance reflected in harry kim before she truly understood the concept. it isn't difficult to recognize it in others, though in this instance she is uncertain as to whether he's staring because of her supposed beauty (as an ex-drone, she finds that particular concept of beauty irrelevant) or her alien implants. ]

I believe the appropriate term is "excuse me."
