	[ for most of the day, liz can be found patrolling sector 0. even when she figures out what's going on, she'll just tough it out because it's something to do and she might get called on to help someone anyway. periodically throughout the day, she might take refuge indoors or in various other sectors just to try to dodge the bots. for all the good it'll actually do her. ] (Reply to this) (Thread)

[ liz has been trying to avoid as many of the people and bots as she can, but it's getting more and more difficult. it's like the things want to catch her. so when she runs into eric, she's both happy to see him and wary of anything around them that might jump out at them. ]

Very eventful. Please tell me this is a one-day thing.

[ liz can't help it. even if eric isn't aiming that show at her, she starts violently and takes a step back. even back when she was a member of the council and made it her job to stake vampires, she'd only been faced with fangs and a predator's look like that once before, just before damon had staked that blonde one. she felt a pang of guilt, wondering vaguely if that woman had been a good or bad one, before she stamped on it and ignored it. she couldn't go around second guessing herself or she'd go mad.

instead, she glances at eric. ] I think that's my cue. [ she turns to leave--

--and runs smack into... something. a barrier? ] ...What now?

[ Kissing is much less complicated for Eric. Liz isn't someone he'd normally kiss both because of her relationship to Caroline and her relationship with him, but she is someone he knows and he appreciates that. Eric chuckles both at the look and at the comment. ]

So I've been told. [ He leans down, moving one hand to rest beneath Liz's chin and tilt it up a bit then he closes the remaining distance between them, his lips pressing against hers. ]

[ kissing implies some sort of romantic connection. or it used to. god only know what it is now. liz is giving up trying to put sense to anything here. so she just squeezes her eyes shut and lets it happen.

it's not... bad, exactly. it's just awkward. she doesn't do romantic anything, barely even does being close to caroline and that only came about in the last year. he's gentle at least, more than she'd have expected, and probably a decent kisser if given the chance. but she's still coming to terms with her ex-husband and everything he stands for -- because that's a lot of crap to deal with. thank you, bill forbes, for trying to torture the very vampire out of her daughter -- not to mention the vampire thing in general. liz is just in this to get the stupid bot to let them go and she's sorry to eric if it shows.

but she does try to make it less awkward than it is, resting her hands on his shoulders for balance. she's not short, but she's not tall, either. he, however, is tall and there's a lot of distance between them. the bot gives them a little nudging to make it better. liz resists rolling her eyes and tries her best to relax into it. she does have enough tact not to shove away once the bot's satisfied and lets them go, instead deciding to let eric do that honor. ]

[ Sector 0 is one of those sectors you just can't avoid. Whatever you do, you usually end up crossing through there and this is no exception to that. He was just off to the Blood Shack to fix himself a mug of blood (98.6) and now he's crossing sector 0, naturally spotting her.

He doesn't know who she is, or how she's related to the other Mystic Falls inhabitants he's met lately. He does however know she's Defense Force (boy's done his homework) and as such he'll make an effort to pass a little closer, drinking his blood a little more demonstratively. ]
