[ Data is out and about today, his curiosity about the dome's environmental controls now even more piqued by the rapid succession of drastically different temperatures.

Just as he was when it was freezing mere days earlier, he's wearing his full uniform - turtleneck, pants, jacket, and boots. Clearly, the temperature doesn't matter to him.

Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't interested in what everyone else is doing to stay cool. ]

[ the uniform catches helen's attention -- it vastly resembles captain picard's and if geordi's words are to be believed, they're all from the same place and know each other -- and she detours over. she's wearing a swimsuit of sorts, one that leaves enough to the imagination while being enough to keep her cool. she may or may not also have a small water pistol tucked away somewhere. once she reaches data, she offers a smile, her eyes taking in his uniform. ]

I would've thought everyone would want something a little cooler. [ but of course, if what he'd said during their first meeting was true, it wouldn't matter to him in the least how hot or cold it was. fascinating. and how fortunate for him. ]

In order for my functions to be affected by temperatures, they would need to be considerably more extreme.

[ Said simply and matter-of-factly, not proud or gloating. He'd much rather know what it's like to be uncomfortable, and to be able to experience relief from such discomfort. ]

I am capable of sensing the difference in temperature and its precise current measurement, but I do not experience any associated discomfort.
