Day 221 — Morning mingle : Main shelter
[Wake up and smell the lack of coffee. You're on a bunk bed. Maybe you're a top and maybe you're a bottom. There are five other people in your room. Maybe they're friends or enemies or faces you barely recognize if at all. It doesn't matter much. You can leave this room and you don't need to come back to it.

You should get your rations though. You're probably hungry. You're definitely a little sluggish of body. What happened to that bruise you got sparing yesterday? What happened to your newly dyed hair? Mystery, mystery... Move along. Find the public bathrooms and do your business with a hundred of your closest friends.

Find the kiosk and get your rations. Careful not to let anyone steal them. You won't get more until tomorrow and the bots won't care. They aren't here to hold your hand. If you get sick or hurt and they deem it necessary they will take you to the hospital whether you wish it or not. But why dwell on such things? You're here now and you might as well enjoy it. You even get a free day today.]

[Tyki Mikk's never a man to let a woman sit in his lap unappreciated, so his one arm remains along the small of her back while the other's hand rests neatly on one of her bent knees. He'd never quite thought he'd get this moment, precisely, so excuse him while he abuses his right to be close.]

Something loud and rowdy. New digs for us for a while. [And he chuckles.] It seems we've been assigned to be roommates, love.

Eh? R-R-Room--[Roommates. Roommates. As if they are expected to live in the same room together when Miranda can barely handle the fact he always wants to put his hands on her! It's like he has a thing for touching her whenever they're near each other and the fact his hand is on her knee is only making the heat in her cheeks unbearable. She reaches over to subtly shift his hand to a less awkward position, which there is none when he's touching her this way. She tries to calm her own nerves.]

There must be a mistake. [Like the fact she is sitting on his lap. Why is she sitting on his lap. What is going on in this new prison that this has happened.]

[Most certainly not what she intended and him touching her glove-free hand feels even more intimate than the hand on her leg. She can feel as his fingers brush against the upraised and rough tissue and it feels strange. But still, she can't let herself show just how unsettled she is. If she does he'll know it gets to her and he'll never stop doing it.

If they are roommates, then at least she can keep an eye on him. He can't do as he pleases if she tries to stop him before anything terrible occurs.]

Lucky--ah--well, I guess i-it could be looked at that way.

...Although that is likely why he keeps doing it. She wants to jerk her hand away and hide it in her lap, but it would only prove to him that he's getting to her.]

Easy... [He says with a laugh nearly in his throat, his hand on her shoulder now just resting. The other hand, however, is tilting her cheek towards him and intent on inclining her gaze downward so that when he leans forward, he can kiss her head. While this would be enough of a tease on its own, he's got a slightly more sinister idea up his sleeve. It's all about the distractions.]
