Day 221 — Morning mingle : Main shelter
[Wake up and smell the lack of coffee. You're on a bunk bed. Maybe you're a top and maybe you're a bottom. There are five other people in your room. Maybe they're friends or enemies or faces you barely recognize if at all. It doesn't matter much. You can leave this room and you don't need to come back to it.

You should get your rations though. You're probably hungry. You're definitely a little sluggish of body. What happened to that bruise you got sparing yesterday? What happened to your newly dyed hair? Mystery, mystery... Move along. Find the public bathrooms and do your business with a hundred of your closest friends.

Find the kiosk and get your rations. Careful not to let anyone steal them. You won't get more until tomorrow and the bots won't care. They aren't here to hold your hand. If you get sick or hurt and they deem it necessary they will take you to the hospital whether you wish it or not. But why dwell on such things? You're here now and you might as well enjoy it. You even get a free day today.]

"Unfortunately not." Something which he isn't too fond of. But this also makes this seem more of a crisis situation, with the small rations of food and lack of things for one to do to entertain themselves. "However, now would be a time to give to others, to help those who might have trouble acclimating to the change through whatever our new wardens have in store."

	There is definitely a more dire sort of atmosphere to the situation. Rose isn't crazy about it, but she's done dire before and she's made it out before. She likes to think that this will be no different. "Right. Support and lead. I've been tryin' to find everyone I know, make sure they're all right. That sorta thing." "Yes, and remaining calm and clear-headed is of great assistance to the masses in and of itself. Something you are to be commended for. There are worse conditions to be imprisoned in, after all." The later is said like he knows those sorts of conditions first-hand. Which he does. His time with both the Borg and the Cardassian's has proven to be trying, freedoms stripped away and torture an everyday occurrence. Not to mention the unknown alien race who had abducted him and replaced him on the Enterprise with a clone for their own curious study. He was sadly experienced in imprisonment with deplorable conditions, something that thankfully gave him perspective in their present predicament.

She gives him a cheeky grin. "This? This is old hat. Wait 'til you've seen me bargain for the Earth's protection."

She'd been scared out of her mind that time. She's nervous and a bit worried about things now, which is kind of why she brings it up. It's also a nice come back and a reminder to herself that she's done much more difficult things before. This is nothing in comparison.

"Yeah, sorta noticed that too. S'funny how many parallels exist in entirely different worlds. Far as I can tell, yours isn't even in the same string of parallel universes that mine is." She purses her lips, pondering that. "Wonder how hard it'd be for someone to jump the whole chain into another one."

She didn't say impossible, because she's learned in her time with the Doctor and without him that very little is actually impossible.

"Well it isn't out of the realm of possibility. We've encountered numerous unexplained temporal phenomena throughout the Universe in which one could jump through worlds and timelines. I'm even to understand that the technology is out there somewhere." And as always, Jean-Luc is obviously curious and intrigued by the possibilities.

"But can you imagine the corruption that might come with wielding such power?" And someone somewhere would find a way to use it to their advantage. He had little doubt of that.

"Oh, yeah technology is definitely out there. S'just Time Lord tech, not human tech." She smiles at that. "Humans can't use it so...built in fail safe there. And since the Doctor's the only Time Lord left..."

She shrugs a little at that. If she knew about the Master, she'd agree with Jean-Luc about someone finding a way to use it to their advantage, but from everything she knows about the Doctor, he would never abuse his power or his tech.

Rose nods. "Yeah for the most part." She hesitates because in one way, he's not far off. "Sorta. I'm more like a travellin' companion. 'Cept the Doctor got lost once. It was just me and a half broken TARDIS...and a buncha guys from UNIT. "

She furrows her brow, trying to decide the best way to explain it. "The TARDIS is the Doctor's ship. She's the 'technology' I guess. 'Cept the TARDIS is alive. She's not...tech at all. She's soemthin' that Time Lords grow on Gallifrey, but she usually only works with a Time Lord 'cause their psyches...intertwine. She's in his head and he's in hers. Anyhow... the Doctor got lost before...he does that more than he'll admit...and I had to force my way inside the TARDIS's head to save him. I think it's 'cause of that I could use the TARDIS to find him the second time. Plus, she knew I was her best way back to him. She volunteered to help me out I guess, but 'm pretty sure that was a special case."
