Day 221 — Morning mingle : Main shelter
[Wake up and smell the lack of coffee. You're on a bunk bed. Maybe you're a top and maybe you're a bottom. There are five other people in your room. Maybe they're friends or enemies or faces you barely recognize if at all. It doesn't matter much. You can leave this room and you don't need to come back to it.

You should get your rations though. You're probably hungry. You're definitely a little sluggish of body. What happened to that bruise you got sparing yesterday? What happened to your newly dyed hair? Mystery, mystery... Move along. Find the public bathrooms and do your business with a hundred of your closest friends.

Find the kiosk and get your rations. Careful not to let anyone steal them. You won't get more until tomorrow and the bots won't care. They aren't here to hold your hand. If you get sick or hurt and they deem it necessary they will take you to the hospital whether you wish it or not. But why dwell on such things? You're here now and you might as well enjoy it. You even get a free day today.]

Well he beat you to it, also after gathering 'rations' and more importantly that change of clothes. Waking up disoriented in white brought back memories of home, but nothing new-- just ones he wanted to quickly discard until later. And after a long shower, his pile of things on a bench in the shower area (guarded by unseen Tease) he'll be stepping out in a low wrapped towel with his hair wet and clinging across scarred skin.]

[ He hates this. He hates this a lot but he doesn't hate it quite as much as the knowledge that he hasn't had a shower yet and so, after a lot of inner debating, he ventures inside with his towel, soap and change of clothes. Locker room flashbacks. Not great, but what can you do. It's not like he's 12 anymore. It's not like there are bullies waiting around the corner.

Except when there is.

He's too far gone to turn back without Tyki noticing and as tempting as it is to turn heel and flee, he can't give him that satisfaction so instead he ducks his head and hopes he'll just be on his merry way. ]

That's funny. She seemed to have plenty to say about you. [ Some time ago, sure. Tyki hasn't come up in conversation for a good long while now, comparatively speaking.

He tries to remain casual as the other starts to get dressed, stance as relaxed as can be although his eyes are firmly averted. This is starting to become more and more of a bad idea — a familiar one at that. He shouldn't have gone alone. He should've had someone with him because by now he's realized that there's nothing stopping Tyki from taking his clothes once he's actually given in and stepped into the shower.

Isn't that a familiar scenario, even with the lack of a football field. ]

[ As long as Tyki's in the facility, he won't believe in the concept of safety. It's not about taking a shower alongside other men — he could handle that, if he really had to — but rather being that vulnerable around this particular man. It's not a good feeling and no shower in the world can wash it off.

Of course, he can't back out now. ]
