Day 221 — Morning mingle : Main shelter
[Wake up and smell the lack of coffee. You're on a bunk bed. Maybe you're a top and maybe you're a bottom. There are five other people in your room. Maybe they're friends or enemies or faces you barely recognize if at all. It doesn't matter much. You can leave this room and you don't need to come back to it.

You should get your rations though. You're probably hungry. You're definitely a little sluggish of body. What happened to that bruise you got sparing yesterday? What happened to your newly dyed hair? Mystery, mystery... Move along. Find the public bathrooms and do your business with a hundred of your closest friends.

Find the kiosk and get your rations. Careful not to let anyone steal them. You won't get more until tomorrow and the bots won't care. They aren't here to hold your hand. If you get sick or hurt and they deem it necessary they will take you to the hospital whether you wish it or not. But why dwell on such things? You're here now and you might as well enjoy it. You even get a free day today.]

[Helix thanked his lucky stars that when he woke up Aidan was easily found beside him. He still felt naked without his band though and would occasionally rub the spot where it used to be. He followed his boyfriend, keeping close and going through the motions with him. He could tell the guy wasn't 100% but it was better than the amount of freaking out he'd been doing.

Helix was in a heightened state of awareness, this new prison was too much like a real prison and he wasn't sure what to expect. Were there other inmates here they were sharing space with for a time? If so, they'd have to watch their backs just like at the real thing. At least they had each other so long as they didn't take showers alone.

Breakfast was a welcome thing once they got settled in. Helix was happy giving his rations over to Aidan, certain he'd ruin any food if he tried to make it himself. In the mean time, he'd wait for his food, quietly trying to work through the disorientation of waking up somewhere entirely new, yet all too familiar.]

[ Between Helix's street smarts and Aidan's farm boy survival skills, they'd do just fine here. Maybe they'd even be something close to comfortable? Aidan sure as hell felt a lot better now that he had plenty to do — the cushy life of MarinaNova may have been a nice vacation and all but it was slowly driving him out of his mind.

There's a small smile on his lips when he approaches Helix, carrying a tray with two bowls of oatmeal, two boiled eggs, two glasses of water and one of the chocolate bars. Breakfast of champions! ]

They didn't have no fruit or jam or nothin', so I figured it'd be okay if we shared some of th' chocolate... make it a little sweeter, y'know?

[Helix is busy toying with a teabag and frowning with boredom at it. Tea. Not Coffee. They could give them beans to grind on their own and a communal percolator, seriously. He sighs and perks up some when Aidan returns with food. He sets the tea down and almost seems a little eager to see what sort of magic his boy worked on their meager supplies.]

Better than nothing. [He takes the bar and breaks it in half, giving Aidan a bigger chunk. He then uses a few of the chocolate crumbs, breaking off small pieces to mix in the hot oatmeal till it melts. Just enough to give it a little taste but not to make it too sweet. He's not big on sweet.

Once satisfied he'll take a bite. It's nothing spectacular but better than he could do.]

	[ He's doing the same, although with slightly bigger chunks. Never did like plain oatmeal much and back home he'd need quite a bit of jam or apple sauce to make it good enough to eat. 	Couldn't hurt, right? That way we can take turns or help each other... it'll be fun! [ Actually, most of all he'd want Helix to know in case he ever disappears. S-sure. Why not?

[Not very confident in himself here, very unsure about all this. Cooking had always somehow been difficult for him. What makes it more frustrating is the fact that it doesn't seem that HARD to do and he feels like he should be able to figure it out.]
