[Derek looks left then right to make sure no bots are following them before he sinks back in between the buildings to make room for her. Mostly the bots are sticking to the main streets of the dome. He's only been caught unawares once today so far.]

I'm surprised the wardens let you have it. Or is it one of those what they don't know doesn't hurt them kind of deals?

[He liked that confidence and smiles because of it.] Well maybe someday you can teach me how to shoot one of those. I'm only good with firearms, polearms and whatever's handy to be used to my advantage.

[That last part is kind of a joke, mostly. Derek is pretty good at using his surroundings when he has to. And the polearms comes from his proficiency in judo, which occasionally combines polearms with its sparring.] But I figure if you can hold a gun steady, a bow and arrow shouldn't be too far off... just work a few different muscles and... there you go.

You don't have to spill any secrets to me, Artemis. Not gonna lie, though... you've got me curious.

[His grin starts to dissipate as a bot suddenly appears behind Artemis where they had entered the small alleyway. He exhales a frustrated sigh as the minute he takes a step back he can feel that invisible barrier behind him, inching him closer to her.] Dammit... should've kept moving.
