Action :: Forward dated to Early Evening
[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

The kind I wish we weren't having? It's just a really sore topic, you know. And anytime I talk to Tyki I think things are smoothed over and then I find out he did some jerk thing to Reid or one of Reid's friends. [She keeps her eyes from flickering over to the jerk in question.]

I didn't! [It comes out a little suddenly and with definite frustrated followed by a sigh.] I'm not. I mean it's not like I'm calling him up to see how things are or anything. But he calls me or runs into me. I started hanging up without answering, but...

...He came to take care of me when the wasp stung me. [She tips her head.] Felt wrong to just hang up when he called the next day.

I know, I just mean... do you like talking to him sometimes? I get that-- I mean, I think he's a jerk. But you and he... were together, right? [For whatever reasons. It happened and was a thing.] So it makes sense if there's a part of him you... like.

Not saying I'd advise you to hang out with him or even talk to or go near him, but just saying it's okay to... feel tolerable of him. I think this is the definition of a toxic relationship, in a sense. He's nothing but a poison to you right now.
