Action :: Forward dated to Early Evening
[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

[ the problem with sookie is, despite how much she preaches to a choir that may or may not want to listen to her on how dangerous vampire can be -- like the talking to she gave that claire girl not too long ago -- she's also one of the species' biggest defenders and sometimes has difficult remembering herself that vampires can be very lethal when they want to be. ]

Well, not just me. All fae, really. Our blood is like a vampire aphrodisiac. It's why my kind isn't exactly abundant anymore. [ why she's sharing this knowledge with damon, she doesn't even know. maybe it's just freeing to be able to talk about things she would have to keep bottled down back home, even if damon salvatore is probably the last person she should be telling them to. ]

Vampire aphrodisiac? [ Cue an oh so skeptical look. Sure, sometimes he gets a real high from feeding, and it can lead to him doing all kinds of nasty things, but he's always been in control, and it's always been a matter of choice: to sleep with or to not sleep with, to kill or to not kill, etc, etc, etc. And then there's Stefan, his brother, who can't seem to stop when he starts. But it's never been about the blood. It's always been about the vampire. ]

Tell me that's not why the big, bad viking keeps you around.

[ it's as simple as that. sure, his interest in her was piqued by her telepathy and there's no denying she's valuable to him as a fae, but that's not why he "keeps around." and they'd already had this discussion of doubtfulness before, where sookie brought all of that into question and made him give her straight, honest answers. it wasn't that, and it wasn't the pull of the blood bond, either.

she sees that skeptical look, though, and stubbornly, foolishly, wants to prove him wrong on that account. ] Fine. Don't believe me-- [ sookie grabs a shot glass and one of the knives reserved for slicing lemons and limes. she lifts the blade up to her palm, but pauses. ] Does your blood heal? Sure, he's curious, but he's also now just craving for the real thing. He glances down at the knife in her hand and lets out a nod, leaning forward a little more eagerly now. ]

Sure thing. [ As easy as that. It's obvious that they're equally reckless. Damon has no idea what fairy blood could do to his system, considering the vampires in Sookie's world are a different breed altogether, what with the not being able to eat normal people food and all that, but it's just a taste. No biggie. ]
