Action :: Forward dated to Early Evening
[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

Enjoy, mingle and come as you want to be.]

[His grin widens, he's pretty pleased with it and even more s if she likes it.] I don't quite know what it is, but it looked pretty interesting. [He reaches the gear-arm towards her and flexes his hand, which turns some of the mechanisms.] I've never seen anything like it.

You look really -- [he has to clear his throat a little but hopefully his mask hides a little of his blushing,] cute. With the ears.

[His smile shifts into just a hint of a self-deprecating smirk.] Of the two of us, I think I'm the one who needs to be careful.

[The music is a little faster and more... well, modern than he's used to, but it seems workable. Once they get to the dance floor Zelgadis has a moment of struggling with how close to hold her, but there's not a lot of space, so. Relatively close, which he finds that he doesn't exactly mind.]

[Every shift and bounce has him worried about bumping her harshly, but his hands stay at her waist to try and keep things as controlled as he can. And also because it's just nice to be able to hold her as they twirl around the dance floor, even nicer to watch her smile.]

Not the kind of dancing I'm used to, but at least it's not complicated. [He's not so much leading as just holding on to her. Not complaining, just noting.]
