Speed Dating - Round Five
Who: All the speed dating people

As the final round began, Darcy found herself watching everyone carefully, trying to see if there would be any long term matches out of tonight's festivities. It seemed like each time they did this, at least one couple got together and she was hoping to keep that streak alive.

"Okay, gang! Last round. After this, feel free to stick around to mingle and either chat more with one of your dates or meet some more new people!"

"Oh, yes. It is different from British. I have never been to New Zealand, though. What is it like there?" she asked. Because talking about his home seemed far preferable to talking about her home.

She twirled a strand of hair between her fingers, studying him for a moment. "What brings you here tonight?" she asked. "Surely an attractive man such as yourself could get any girl he wanted."

Well, he definitely liked this woman after her rather on point compliment - he was attractive and he definitely could get any girl he wanted, thank you very much. Her comment produced a wide smile.

"New Zealand is a lot like Canada, if you've ever been there. If not, well... I guess it's a lot like here except more inactive volcanoes, free healthcare, and more ocean around us. Unlike Australia, though, we don't have as many things that can kill you." Anders like Australia a lot though.

"I signed up mostly to meet people. I thought it'd be a good way of seeing more of the town. I thought where better to meet some women looking to have a little fun?"

She shook her head slightly, "I have not been anywhere other than France and Madison Valley. Surely all of America isn't like it is here?" She couldn't see it being like this, but seeing as she hadn't been to any other part of America, she couldn't be positive.

She arched an eyebrow at Anders, and his words. "What sort of fun are you looking for, then, Anders?" she asked, offering him a small smile. She might be willing to oblige. Maybe.

It all depended.

"I've never been to America either, but if what I've seen from TV is any indication, if it's not New York, California, or Disney World, America looks pretty much like this." At least, that's what Anders was picturing.

At her question, he kept his smile charming and not too leering - he could contain himself Ty, thank you very much. "Well, if I'm going to be honest with you, Shosanna, the fun I'm looking for often finds its way into bed, though a bed isn't always needed for it." Sometimes other places other than a bed were more fun, really.

"Oh, no, a bed is definitely not always necessary for that sort of fun," she said with a smirk. She studied Anders for a moment, as though considering her options. He was an attractive man, and he seemed nice enough. Of course, she knew that she didn't know him well. She had only just met him tonight, after all.

Once she had made a decision, though, she continued. "I would be more than glad to offer a bit of fun, if you were interested." Because it had been a while since she'd allowed herself to have that sort of fun. She figured it wouldn't hurt in the slightest.

And at least she would have gotten sex out of the night.

It wasn't that Anders always had to use his charming words, but back home he had started to fall into it like a crutch. It was nice to flex his skills without his powers, though he still really liked his powers a lot, Ty. When she was so forthright about it, it surprised him, but the surprise didn't manifest on his face. His smile widened a little.

He opened his mouth to answer her, when the bell that signified the end of the last round rang. It seemed like time was anticipating his needs. "I heard there was an after party for this thing. If you were looking forward to that, I could wait for you, or I could just show you my newly decorated apartment now."

"Oh, I would be glad to visit your newly decorated apartment, over going to the after party," she said with a small smile. Because going to Anders's apartment was far more appealing than being social with more people.

Especially since being social with Anders at his apartment was likely going to be a lot of fun. Where the after party was probably going to be not quite as much fun.

She offered him a small smile, and rose from the table. "Do lead the way," she suggested.
