If you haven't been to the InsaneJournal Lupin_Snape lately, you're missing out! As part of Meta Month, there's a new Friending Frenzy on there with lots of people making new friends and offering up recs of their work. You should check it out and join in!

I can report that the lovely dizilla is working on tagging the LJ community, so now I don't think I need those volunteers to search out the adult posts there. I might need people to take months and contact creators about locking their posts, but I'll ask for a new batch of volunteers when the tagging is over.

scribbulus_ink, McKay, is the only moderator for the Snupin Santa exchange. I help her out and try to answer questions to the best of my knowledge, but it doesn't matter if you're writing the exchange mail or seeing a Snupin_Santa journal post, it's all McKay. I can't thank her enough for running the exchange so efficiently and smoothly. We wouldn't have a Snupin Santa at all if it wasn't for her. ♥

Chat room statement: Recently the chat room has been quite active, which is good - I love to see everyone enjoying themselves and getting help from one another. However, I think it's time for a reminder of the room's purpose - it is a chat room for you, the members of the Lupin_Snape communities. There's a reason the chat post is locked to friends only - access info to the chat room shouldn't be given to anyone not in this group.

This does not mean that the room must always be on-topic. I don't want to scare you away from using the chat room as much as you want for any purpose you might need. Lately, though, the amount of general chat has swamped the Snupin chat, and I'm worried that Snupin chatters are being overwhelmed by chatters whose primary fandom activity isn't in Snupin just because they like being in an active Harry Potter-based chat room. There are several other active fandom chat rooms to use instead, and I'm sure they'd be loads of fun for the general chatter.

So, please remember that Snupin chat should always be about Snupin first, support for Snupin creativity second, and everything else third. If someone brings up a Snupin issue in the middle of off-topic talk, please pause and make sure that person's issue is given consideration.

Bleh. I hated having to write that out. I hope you all know, 99% of you are just fine in the chat room and even 99% of the other ship fans who go into the chat room act appropriately. Because you're all perfectly wonderful people, of course! *loves*

This is a reminder to all return participants that your deadline is but a few days away! November 15th is the day on which I need to have either a gift or an extension request from you (if you haven't already asked for one). If not, you'll be receiving a poke o' shame, and if I don't get a response to that, you'll be out, and a pinch hitter will be called in to take your place.

Also, there are some first time participants whose extensions are running out. I'm going to be checking my list soon to make sure there aren't any stragglers, and I hope I don't have to give anyone a poke o' shame. ;)

But to keep this post from being all doom and gloom, let me say that there have been some lovely gifts so far. I'm uploading them bit by bit to the website, and they're making me want to squee and start handing out presents now. ;)

The Fest is also well under the number of drop-outs and disappearances from this time last year, for which I am deeply grateful because it makes the Fest run so much more smoothly. Let's continue keeping that number low!

For those of you who are waiting, I hope you've started your countdown because you are gonna love December!
