Spring of 1843. The snow is melting. Soon, men will take their shovels to dig graves and the first casualties of the revolution will be laid to rest in the frontier town of Sedona. Lives have been devastated by a bombing and a train wreck. Ladies have become widows; children have become orphans.

But life goes on. Those who have died will soon be out of mind. The shops sell their wares; more people want to own guns these days. Women sell their bodies. The saloons still serve drinks to people who want to forget about the world they live in, the people who used to live in it with them, and the people who still do.

Some distance from the graveyard, in the Westonbirt Arboretum, flowers are blooming near the ground these bodies are hidden by. Their beauty will delight hearts that have been bowed by sorrow and fear. But these flowers will be cut and washed and their oils will be condensed and mixed and sold as magic. And the glass bottles they are sold in will become smeared by blood from the hands of the Victorian Company.

The revolution has begun. The bodies that were just buried in the newly-thawed earth will be far from the last. This small town will become a battleground. Which side will you be fighting on?

Perfume is an original western fantasy game set in the small town of Sedona. We offer a long-term plot and are always open to suggestions and discussion from members. We permit smaller plots, be they personal or game-wide. This game is literate and active. We are yaoi and yuri friendly, though due to the setting characters may not be. If you have any questions please feel free to ask: the mods are active and friendly.

You wake up disoriented and in an abandoned theatre. The large and empty screen ahead is your only source of light as you try to figure out how and why you’ve arrived here. Your last recollection before your dreamless night was lying down in your bed and drifting off to sleep. You thought you were safe.

As you make your way to the outside you notice the sky a gloomy overcast that’s threatening rain, but the weather isn’t what bothers you; it’s that concrete wall surrounding the premises that has you worried. In the distance you can spot four tall buildings and even an Amusement Park, yet, as you continue to explore, any trace of an exit seems almost impossible. You’re trapped here.

Walking further you suddenly hear a disembodied cry of something horrible; something deadly, and it sounds hungry. Adrenaline pumping through your veins you stop and look for the source of the noise, but can’t find anything. You continue to walk forward, thinking it’s all in your head, thinking maybe you’re being paranoid, but another retching scream calls out; now it’s right behind you. And suddenly you realize that the threat is real and you better be quick on your feet if you plan to survive.

“Horrorwood” is a panfandom horror roleplay that takes place in an alternate city very similar to that of Hollywood, California, with the exception that the place has been barricaded from the outside world and is crawling with all too real monsters. Good guys, and even the bad guys, wake up to find themselves trapped and relying desperately on their keen survival instincts.

You’ll make friends, or you’ll make enemies, but be careful who you decide to befriend. The monsters aren’t the worst ones out to get you.

The gods have not faded away, or been reborn. They are not in high school. They have not forgotten who they were. They remember, because they still exist.

Though their followers are fewer and less vocal, once a god, always a god. The important things have not changed with the passage of time, though with the advance of the mortal world, gods have discovered the joys of modernization. Because even a Muse can appreciate an iPod.

Of course the Sumerians are still insular (and a tad stuck up), the Greeks still squabble amongst themselves more than they do with the other pantheons, and the Norse… well, with Loki on the loose and Ragnarok threatened, they do have their hands full.

In every pantheon, just as in any group of individuals, you have those that are warm, friendly and open. And those that never learned to work and play well with others. How will they manage to coexist? How have they done so thus far? What happens when Anubis meets Hades? Or Thor challenges Nergal?

Come help us answer those questions and tell those stories.

THE MANIPULATIVE BASTARD
"Same way I get anybody to do anything: I find what he's emotionally invested in and I exploit it."

Trickster doesn't even begin to describe him. He's a master manipulator of events and emotions. He always has a plan, but rather than do any work himself, he prefers to play on other characters' emotions and then watch his victims destroy themselves. Despite relying on other people's emotions to achieve their aims, the Manipulative Bastard is rarely emotional and seldom burdened by notions such as loyalty.

Examples: Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. Benjamin Linus from Lost. Dr. Gregory House from House.
