In Darkness - OOC

So, since I think of all the games we've run this one could stand to make the most use of it, I propose our alt-comm.

Before we get to the linking part ...

the alt-comm (or alternate comm) is a community that doesn't count. Nothing posted in the alt comm counts as game canon - and it also doesn't count for an activity check. However, it is a place to explore lines and ideas that - for whatever reason - aren't feasible/likely to happen in-game.

We've used them before in other games (and once it was seriously .. pretty much a smut comm) and while they aren't used often (ideally, anyway), they're good places for when Jaime that one character just won't shut up but you can't do anything with them in-game because of situational parameters.

So if you ever wanted to run a random scene or just write some non-game narratives or test-run a character you're thinking about bringing in or anything like that, you're welcome to stick it over there.

If we feel it's being used more than the actual game comm, or if the game comm is being neglected in favor of alt-lines, we will revisit the use of it at that point.

Header, title, and tagging rules should still be adhered to, though you don't need to bother with the date tags.

Joining this is completely optional and you will not be in any way negatively impacted if you don't join/read/etc the comm. For the moment, membership is open so everyone can join without approval, but after a couple of days, I'll switch it to moderated.

So this is Kierah again, with a character I should NOT have brought in, especially since school is starting up again, but hey. If anyone can make a horrifically bad decision work, it's me. ... Right?

This is Laura Roslin, one of my favoritest muses <3333 She's from the reimagined Battlestar Galactica, and she and I (and this journal) go waaay back. She's from early season 3, post-Nu Craprica, and frankly this isn't too different from the Cylon occupation, so she can tough it out~ :D She will also be scared of how young everyone is, since she's 56.
