Imagine a Wizarding World without Hogwarts.

Not that it ever existed at all, but in one of his last acts, the wizard known as Voldemort destroyed the school beyond repair in June 1980. Rather than rebuild, England's Ministry of Magic chose instead to rely on sending their magical students abroad for education. Soon, the cost of a magical education was a sign of status.

It has been 25 years since Hogwarts' last graduates stepped through those halls, and a new generation of young wizards has begun to make their mark on Great Britain. Unfortunately, finding work and appropriate housing hasn't been so easy for these young wizards and witches. A bit of a magical economic crisis has occurred, To alleviate some of these conditions, several witches and wizards stepped forward to fund an experiment. They created a new model society, a place where the "best and brightest" of their generation could thrive. It was called Cottismore.

But, what does it mean to build a community? Three months into the project, the gloves have come off. With a new Quidditch team on the rise, and the likes of Rita Skeeter gossiping around the town, it is only a matter of time before things began to get interesting. And what of this mysterious wizard who seems to have funded this new project? What reasons could he have to invest in such a gamble?

Time will tell.
