On 25 April 1998, one week before the battle of Hogwarts, the impossible happens: nineteen-year-old Sirius Black walks into the ravaged and war-torn Leaky Cauldron. He isn't the only one to return; over two dozen witches and wizards from the past appear in all parts of the wizarding world. No one knows why, but a clue lies in who these people are: each played a vital role in the first war. Some of the returned are friendly. Others are as bloodthirsty and sadistic as they are in modern times. And after the dust has settled and Voldemort is gone, they still remain. The war is over, but everything is changing.
