You open your eyes to darkness. The air smells stale and confined. Lifting a hand, you feel glass, smooth and curved. Instinctively, your heart beats faster. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened.

A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control.

Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. A table nearby has a pile of scrolls on it and, with a sense of foreboding, you cross to find the one with your initials on it.

~~~ The year is 2100. ~~~

Waking Pandora is an AU, post-apocalyptic Harry Potter RPG based partially on the History Channel series Life after People. One hundred years after humanity is destroyed by a Muggle-made virus, people - magical and muggle - are waking up in the stasis pods that had been humanity's bid for survival.

Armed with only a small pack of things, your wits, and limited initial magical ability, you must learn to not only survive but also rebuild the world, brick by brick, and child by child. Anything is possible in Waking Pandora.

Despite a schoolwide ban on secret societies, two elite groups have sneakily flourished within the walls of Hogwarts.

The centuries-old Circle of the Heliopath recruits only the best and brightest of the wizarding world. The Circle has boasted a predominantly pureblood membership--until now. This year, its magical means of selecting members suddenly ignores worthy purebloods and instead recruits a class full of Muggleborns and halfbloods. Further trouble brews when the Circle's rival, the progressive Wand & Quill, seizes this opportunity to establish itself as the superior secret society. Neither group is fully prepared for the consequences of increasing secret society warfare.

Presented with evidence of hazing, the deputy headmistress vows to crack down on secret societies and those who participate in them. When this hostility begins interfering with daily life at Hogwarts, both societies will find that it isn't easy to keep society business private, or to keep private business out of the societies.

With pressures mounting inside and outside each society, can either survive the school year?

do you know the way out?


A Dark Wizard, a Voldemort-wannabe of sorts, decided that for his soldiers, he would create a beyond time for a training grounds, and then bring the best and brightest children of the ages to it and have his followers train them. But something went wrong, and he ended up with a whole town of adults, young and old. And it seems a lot of them don't agree with his idea of controlling muggles and becoming king of the world. Oops.

From all different times and places, the witches and wizards of the United Kingdom have been plopped down into a town without much else to do other than try to find the Dark King, and get out of here. With even school-age children running a muck, and the adults trying to restore order, what could happen?

Fights will break out, futures will be learned, people who were never meant to meet will get to play a game of cards, even. This is Advena Magia, do you know the way out?

Everyone knows the story of Harry Potter. Born to Lily and James Potter, left a scarred orphan before his second birthday, and deemed The Chosen One after Voldemort's return. The boy who spent a year scouring the country for the remaining Horcruxes while war raged and countless died.

But what if you could change history?

Shortly before his death in 1997, Albus Dumbledore held a meeting with the Order of the Phoenix, and he invited several of the adult members of the D.A. as well. With the help of the Department of Mysteries, he was able to procure what few time turners remained, and he asked more of the Order than he ever has before. To go back in time, hunt down the Horcruxes, and defeat Voldemort before the second war ever happens. To prevent the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands. To change the course of history.

Most agree, but there are dangers none of them could have foreseen. There is no guarantee they will be able to return to their own time--or survive long enough to try. Darkness permeates every aspect of the wizarding world, and no one outside of the Order can discover who they are. But most importantly, the combined Order must work together and hunt down the Horcruxes before it's too late.

History is changing right before their eyes. But the war isn't over yet--and things are only getting started.

Hogwarts Still Lives

The year is 2023 and Hogwarts is still standing strong; there is a whole new generation of students roaming the halls. Professor Flitwick is now the headmaster and the school has finally managed to get back to where it belongs. Students from all walks of life are welcome at the school, and they are each treated fairly. But there is one problem in this modern world; more and more muggles are finding out about the existence of the magical world. No one knows who is telling them truth or why, but one thing is for sure the more people that know the harder it is going to be to hide their whereabouts. Muggle born witches and wizards have to be escorted to Diagon Alley by a teacher or Ministry member now, so that they can be sure that the children are not being followed.

Recently Professor Trewlaney left her post as Professor of Divination at Hogwarts behind; she claimed that the stress of teaching had finally gotten to her. But, was she really telling the whole truth? The day before she turned in her resignation she went to the headmaster's office for some reason and while in the office she blacked out and gave another one of her prophesies. No one heard it but the headmaster and the sorting hat, but it wouldn't be long before the whole school knew something was up. At the beginning of the recent school year the sorting hat had this to say before the sorting:

7 shall arise
3 Men and four ladies true
All just, loyal, cunning or wise

Heroes they could be
but life must they prize
or be forever lost in the boundless sea

Hope will they bring
To life each must cling
For if they fall
Destiny will elude us all.


Is this really the next great Prophecy, or is it the ramblings on a madwoman? No one really knows, but it is obvious that something strange is going on in the magical world. How are all these muggles finding out about the magical world? Who is helping them find these magical locations that have been hidden successfully hidden for centuries? All of that aside the school year must go on; there is nothing more important than the education of the next generation of witches and wizards. For now, the school is safe from intruders and as for the rest of the magical world the ministry is on it.
