The winter of our discontent...


On September 1st Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry allowed the class of 1998 to return with the other students to retake their NEWTs. But a virus that inhibits magic has hit the school, and the Ministry have quarantined everyone inside to prevent the spread.

There's no where to run...

Tensions are running high, magic is building up inside the bubble, and it has begun to draw something else to the castle.

Cedric Diggory has found his way back to the school, lost and confused, and according to him, more are coming...

Demons are attacking in Wizarding Britain. The Dark Mark soars high in both Salem and San Francisco. Despite this, both Hogwarts and Salem Institute are open again and offering exchange programs to older students. But when the peace of both sides is threatened, Potters and Halliwells will have to unite wizards and witches everywhere under a common cause. Is the fight against true evil enough to close the magical gap that has existed for hundreds of years?

Rather than a beacon for education and knowledge, Hogwarts - ripe with eager young minds to mold - is a training ground fore the new Ministry. With Severus Snape as Headmaster; Amycus and Alecto Carrow brought in to fill the vacancies on staff, Hogwarts is primed to produce the leaders of a new, better Wizarding Britain. And it wasn't horrible; not at first. They were subtle in the nuances, patient even, hoping to entice as many students as possible. It was a careful brainwashing, but when students refused to comply - things got nasty. The student body was split; some fervidly picked sides, but most chose to keep their heads down, hoping to go unnoticed. The only thing that was certain that the last year at Hogwarts would not pass easily...

[info]amidperil is a DH-compliant, trio-era-seventh-year game taking place in the second half of the final year. Here we look to explore life at Hogwarts while Harry Potter is off saving the world, until the inevitable final battle just five short months away...
