The game allows for players to take characters in different directions then their predestinations in the text. Both Hogwarts and home life are an integral part of the story, allowing for character development on every level. Mod assisted plots will give everyone something to do but past that their lives, loves and futures are up to you. This is a game for people who love the world and characters of JKR but want something different from the war-focused games. It’s a chance to enjoy a fresh spin on old characters or pick up characters that are often unplayable in other games.

Hogwarts isn't for everyone. The finest school of witchcraft and wizardry that Britain has to offer takes the children of great legacies and old families, those who show particular promise as future wizards, and those who can find the money to pay for the necessities of life at the boarding school. It's not for people who have neither old families, obvious talent, or behavior issues. It's not for Squibs, it's not for non-human beings...so where are all these young people to be educated? And what about those who want their children to receive a more progressive education, one that will help them cope with the rapidly-changing times?

Enter Hermione Granger with a solution: Remus Lupin Academy. After years of planning and fundraising, construction was started in 2004, and in the fall of 2005 the school accepted its first class of students. With articles featured in the Daily Prophet and academic magazines critiquing the efforts of the Headmistress, the very first graduating class finished their educations in the 2008-09 school year and are now out in the real world.

And who, then, is there to support this new, progressive method of teacihng? The students, the parents, and of course...the faculty. Coming from all walks of life and all strata of society, the faculty of RLA have two common traits: a high level of expertise in their subject-areas, and a commitment to the school's mission.

Now the 2009-10 school year approaches and the new academic year looks shiny and bright. Care to be among their teachers?
