The Beginning is a Harry Potter Roleplay set in 1971, the Marauders' first year at Hogwarts. All characters who are alive in that year are available to play even if they are no longer in Hogwarts and plenty of things are going on in the rest of the Wizarding World. This is an AU game meaning you are not expected to stick with canon. Severus can become friends with the Marauders, Narcissa can like Amelia Bones... anything goes.


WANTED CHARACTERS: James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, Rodolphus Lestrange, Avery (around Lucius/Narcissa's age please - PM either of them), Mary McDonald, Death Eaters, Professors, Ministry Workers, Parents of school children, BOYS - The girls seriously out weigh them currently.

On January 1st, 1980, Voldemort disappeared. Not even his most devoted followers know where he went, but in the absence of their leader, the Death Eater movement gradually fell apart, and the wizarding world found itself in an uneasy truce. The horror of the war has not been forgotten, but few still believe that the Dark Lord will return.

Now it's the spring of 1998. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom, the children of prophecy who might be able to defeat Voldemort once and for all, are about to leave Hogwarts, along with their peers - but they are Chosen Ones unmarked by grief and almost untouched by trial. Thanks to the anticlimax of the first war, the wizarding world is unprepared for a jarring end to their eighteen years of peace.

But soon enough, the Dark Marks will burn again...

Rules - Available Characters - Application - Played By's

Tired of those games that are purely meant for shipping purposes and barely focus on the events of the first war? We are, and that is exactly why we have created Waddiwasi.

Tidbits of information is all we have been given, tiny nuances to sustain us, but what about the fine details? What really happened during the First War when You-Know-Who was at his peak and the Wizarding World was barely staying above water? The individual stories of those during that time and the conflicts they had were never written, but they certainly existed. Students just out of Hogwarts viewed the world with endless possibilities; some acquired jobs, found a place to live, settled down and had a family, while others made their parents proud, took the Dark Mark, and joined an organisation which promised to restore the wizarding world to its former glory.

So join us and let's write their history, a complete history, of the events that happened that affected the fate of the wizarding world forever.
