Game Premise |
The year is 2003. It's been nearly five years since the fall of Voldemort, and things in the Wizarding World have both changed and remained the same. Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic have been rebuilt to their original glories, and under the new Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt's watchful eye, Diagon Alley has been completely restored to the splendor of old. Once again, Diagon Alley is the the center of the British Wizarding Community. With new shops and restaurants are opening all the time, as well as an increase in available residential space and the surrounding street ways, Diagon Alley is definitely the place to be. Charing Cross is a game that centers on the everyday lives of Witches and Wizards as they navigate through this world. Focus will be on relationships and characterization, with the occasional game-wide plot thrown in for fun. The game will be adult in nature, so you must be over 18 to apply. |
The Players |
Charing Cross is looking for active, social players interested in character development. Players are expected to offer up their own plots and see them through. Plots that affect the whole game are welcome! There will be a monthly plot post where players can discuss ideas and how they'd work. |

Spotted: One of our favourite bass players, DT, in the R'n'R Dungeon at the Dublin Gaiety Theatre Late Night Clubs on Thursday night, snogging none other than CW. Later that night, a tipsy DT escorted a clearly inebriated CW home -- but to whose home is not known. Now we're all well aware of the sexual proclivities of rock stars... but what about dragon tamers? Now that's an interesting turn of events. Last Thursday, BW and HJ were spotted having "lunch" at the Leaky Cauldron. HJ looked quite upset about an unknown something, but soon seemed quite cozy with BW comforting her, complete with hugs and kisses. One wonders what BW's wife might think about that show of "friendship". It's 2005, and Voldemort has been gone for over six years. People are moving on, and finally living their lives. With some changes, of course. In 2003, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes came out with a brand new, and very popular, product: magical journals through which witches and wizards could keep in constant contact with one another. But with that constant contact came something else. A new mystery that the young magical community both loves and hates. She calls herself "The Gossip Witch", and no one knows her true identity. All they know is that if there's gossip in the Wizarding community, The Gossip Witch knows it, and she's not afraid to print it. Entries from this unknown source appear in the journals weekly, sometimes even daily; printing everything there is to know about the lives and scandals of former Hogwarts graduates. She may use initials, but just about everyone knows who the rumors are about. Will your character end up on Gossip Girl's daily dishings? And how will this affect their lives, their relationships, and their emotions? No matter how it plays out, you know you love her... XOXO, The Gossip Witch The Gossip Witch is a post-Deathly Hallows, non-epilogue compliant game that has been open as of December 19th. rules characters pbs application background info What began as the worst year in Hogwart's history is only going to get worse. Dumbledore is dead. Snape is Headmaster. The Carrows control the students to a degree that would shame even Dolores Umbridge. As the holiday festivities end, students are forced to return to Hogwarts. Luna Lovegood is now gone, but her invention of the journal system remains. Dumbledore's Army is realizing that they can no longer be limited to their original group, and the recruiting is about to begin. At the same time, evil inhibitions are going unchecked, and to disagree with those in power is becoming more and more dangerous every day. Classes are no longer places to learn, they have become sessions of punishment. The Inquisitorial Squad will rule again, and as the inevitable last fight between good and evil hurtles toward Hogwarts, it must also be fought inside the hallowed halls before Harry Potter returns.
