PREMISE
Voldemort? Dead. War? Over. Repercussions? Are seemingly endless.

Welcome to the Wizarding World circa 2001. It's still a messy system of secrecy and dogmatic tradition - and whilst prejudices against Muggleborns and Half Bloods are no longer tolerated, British Wizarding Society was not magically improved overnight. Choked by the subliminal takeover and downfall of what were once perceived as its strongest institutions, the new Ministry, helmed by Kingsley Shacklebolt, are undertaking a new mission to resurrect, renew and revolutionise with Big Dreams and Ideals.

Amongst others, there are two main issues here:
  1. Everyone has their own agenda, and demand their fair slice of pie.
  2. Some people, and by this, we do mean some of the most influential members of society, are opposed to the influx of these sudden changes which they claim threaten the security of Wizards.


From Goblin War #981371 (give or take a hundred), to the Muggleborn Compensation Proposal - the efforts of SPEW and Anti-Werewolf Registry Protests to the de-weeding of the Ministry, it's a battle between progression and tradition. How far is Wizarding World ready to go, and when does it begin to threaten their Statute of Secrecy? Is your character here to change the world? Preserve their way of life? Or are just along for the ride? You decide.

PREMISE
The Durmstrang Institute was created for the magical instruction of Eastern European wizards. Once upon a time, it accepted all promising students who had magical aptitude, but now, any time that Muggleborns and halfbloods were ever accepted is a distant memory, in favor of rigid social classes and tradition. Students are ingrained with a sense of superiority or inferiority [one that often starts at home], a respect for tradition and appropriate social behavior, and most importantly a strong desire to succeed and to be the best. Students that graduate from Durmstrang are the most talented, the strongest, the brightest, and the best. The only question is...are you strong enough to survive until graduation?

[info]euphorialane, is a post-Hogwarts, post-war canon up to Half Blood Prince game, set in the year 2004 and combining the magical world of Harry Potter, with social expectations and appointments. Unlike other games based on a no-war environment, Euphoria Lane provides mod designated events on a local, national, and international scale, so there will always be a plot to follow, alongside in-depth character development. We've also made it very easy for new players to catch up!

We are looking for motivated and creative role-players, who are willing to put effort into making the Harry Potter world as real as possible, through quality writing and original storylines. If you're a player looking to explore individual depths and development for a character you love, we invite you to join us with your wit, irony, and maybe a little flash of skin.

In return, we'll tickle your fancy with monthly organized game activities, writing challenges, and a space to create and develop the magical world of Harry Potter. This is a game focused on character development and writing, run by experienced moderators and completely drama free.

PhotobucketIt is the year 2000 and even though the wizarding world is still trying to rebuild it's still in chaos. The death eaters that weren't thrown into the newly rebuilt Azkaban are now reformed citizens of the wizarding world or so you think. The new Minister of Magic has been selected, but there is still some corruption left in the ministry. Pure blood laws are being fought over everyday and there has already been multiple attempts on Harry's life since the end of the war and to most people, that last was a success. Harry is actually hidden safely in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts; only four people know where he is, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Charlie Weasley and Hagrid.
Another war is brewing and to most citizen of the Wizarding world are oblivious to the signs. To the rest of the world Harry Potter is dead, but there have been rumors that their hero still lives. When the time is right he will come back and restore order to the world that he chose to save. When will that time come? No one knows, not even Harry himself. He is just waiting for the sign, and when he feels the world is ready to be saved from the darkness it has plunged itself into, he will stand up once again and bring the light.
