It is the year 2004 and the world as the wizarding population knows it is about to change. On August 10th, wizards around Britain will feel a strange pull drawing them to Diagon Alley, London. Few will manage to resist the pull, but many will not. And at 3:00pm on the dot, it will happen. The ground will shake as if in an earthquake and in the midst of the ground tremors, a loud "BOOM" will echo around Diagon Alley. The witches and wizards in the Alley do not know it yet, but they are trapped and there is no way out. The magical wards that keep Diagon Alley safe from Muggles will- for reasons no one can figure out- seal everyone into Diagon Alley. For the first few days those trapped will try everything they know to get the wards to break. But the wards will defy all efforts to break them and soon the new inhabitants of Diagon Alley will realize that they are, inexplicably, stuck. Surely, they assure each other, we'll find someway out soon. But until then, what will everyone do? People need places to eat and sleep and somehow they must all find a way to function together. There is of course The Leaky for a place of residence and, conveniently, a new building of flats has just been finished in the middle of the Alley. Of course Diagon Alley boasts several restaurants that can serve the populace-- at least for awhile. But soon the food will run out and then what will they do? We're all about to find out. Welcome to The Alley.

Our game aims to give you a chance to develop your characters personal plot while they're in a new situation which can lead to exciting world plot. We are searching for creative, active, original and good quality players who are ready to join and help us experiment within this amazing world. No experience is required.

It's been a year since the Final Battle, and the Wizarding World is slowly rebuilding. During that time Kingsley Shacklebolt has stepped up as Minister and quickly put to rights most of what the Death Eater regime wronged. Muggleborns are slowly filtering back into society, though fear of the same thing happening again is high.

Trials have been held and Death Eaters sentenced to Azkaban. While Azkaban is no longer guarded by Dementors, the prison is as cold and forbidding as ever. However, some Death Eaters have escaped and although they haven't made any overt moves since Shacklebolt and the Order came to power, neither has the overwhelming aura of fear abated much. Some Death Eaters escaped by turning in their associates; for others there was little evidence. Still others went on the run and are hiding from the Aurors and the Wizengamot.

There are whispers of an isolated group of Death Eaters still bent on seeing the rise of Purebloods and the annihilation of Muggles and Muggleborn alike, but no trace of this group has been seen. But their presence is felt, and it's only a matter of time before they strike.

But for Harry Potter and his friends, their lives are just beginning. Most of Harry's year chose to continue on for an 8th year at Hogwarts, under the Specialized NEWT Program. Having successfully completed that, they took their NEWTs in May of 1999, along with students in Ginny's year, and spent the summer (or longer) job hunting. With Auror and Healer Training to start in October, Quidditch to begin again after a year-long hiatus and new shops opening all the time in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley no one wants to think about a second war.

But it's coming, and this time the aftermath will be epic. Is the Wizarding World ready for a Second War? It's time to find out in The Aftermath.

GAME INFORMATION

Fall 2023. James Potter II is a seventh year. This generation never knew the war. It's a new generation full of muggleborn acceptance (for the most part) and infinite possibilities. Without the looming threat of a dark wizard, these kids are open to new possibilities in their lives, their dreams, and their relationships. Wizkids is a next generation Harry Potter game that sticks to canon (as of August 2008). It's a game where you're welcome to explore drama and comedy. Be serious, find some angst. Balance it out. Wizkids: The War is Just A Legend To These Kids. Opens August 12th, 2008 (Date in Game Will be August 12, 2023).
