This plant is traditionally associated with the afterlife and the underworld. We are living in a world of uncertainty now. Before, the only worries we truly had were whether or not we would pass our examinations or if the marauders were the ones responsible for turning everyone's hair a nice shade of lilac. But times are changing and things are getting darker out in the real world. A growing army is fast approaching; friends and family members are disappearing more often and there are a growing number of events happening that can no longer be explained easily. All done by he who dare calls himself Lord. Asphodel is a game focused almost entirely on the war of the late 1970s that threw the entire wizarding world into chaos. With darkening themes and realistic events, it won't be for those who are faint at heart and can't bear to sit back and watch our most beloved characters thrown into the lion's den. What's the price of freedom?

In 2003, Voldemort and his forces won the war against England. England was the last in a series of countries to fall to the Dark Lord, its populace overwhelmed by swift and furious attack. However, the victory won, while brutal, was not expected by the Light. Those of pure blood and willing to swear allegiance were able to resume lives close to normal. It was only the ones who continued to fight who suffered the brunt of his will as society began to shift toward a police state, with the Death Eaters at its helm.

But the loss of freedom was worth it to many, who thought it was a fair trade for the security that it brought. In 2008, as muggles are beginning to be eliminated through sterilization, reeducation and manipulation, there are many who remain unaware or who deliberately choose to ignore the world being constructed around them.

But there are those who cannot.

A small group of Resistance fighters has formed. Led by those who managed to evade capture or escape the wizarding prison of Azkaban, this group fights a slow war amongst the people of London, trying to build support against a government that has sworn itself a threat to all who oppose it. The Aurors have changed into a force to battle what the Dark Lord considers dissent, striking at the few individuals it can find.

Which side will you fight for?

À Armes Égales is an AU, post-war Harry Potter roleplay set in 2008; it is Deathly Hallows non-compliant. This game will focus on dark material, and is not suitable for underage players. À Armes Égales opened on May 24, 2008.

Initium is a new beginning. Lord Voldemort is dead and the wizarding world is picking up the pieces left in his wake. The muggle-born registration has ended and they no longer live in hiding. The ministry is no longer in turmoil. Hogwarts is reopening. All is right with the world?

In the wake of Lord Voldemorts demise, the death eaters have claimed to be Imperiused or otherwise coerced into service in his name. Some have been released into society, now better citizens. Among that group was Rodolphus Lestrange. He has become very active in the ministry and is considering a run for political office, standing up for the order, doing what is right in society. Things are not always as they appear. The death eaters have reformed underground and are quietly building their army again under Lestrange's guidance, unbeknownst to the world.

Meanwhile Hogwart's is flourishing. Due to the disasters of the last year, the students have been invited back for a proper 7th year and a proper education. It is a shortened year but it gives then the opportunity to make up what they missed and take the exams that will help them continue on into their careers. The parents think that it is a good idea, especially those of muggleborn children who had to leave the school last year. The DA is a welcome organization and the students may feel free to join. It isn't hidden but honored. Below the surface though, the DE children will also organize and will build again. Leading in the seventh year, they are now pushed underground but they never stay there for long.

Initium is an intricately woven game where spies for either side, run rampant as battle lines are again drawn. Each side, both in the wizarding world and at school are gearing up for yet another round. Who will win in the new world is anybody's guess.
