The Order of the Phoenix has spent years fighting against Voldemort, his Death Eaters and the very idea of Pureblood supremacy. Many people on both sides of this battle have given their lives for what they truly believed in and in the spring of 1998 the Wizarding world thought that they had received the final answer to the struggle between equality and supremacy. Harry Potter, surrounded by those who believed in him, defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the final time. The wizarding world rejoiced as Voldemort's dark shadow was removed from their homes and communities and they were able to rebuild the lives that they had once had. Now, as the wizarding world enters the year 2003, they find themselves facing danger from the very people many of them fought so hard to protect. The barrier between the Wizarding and Muggle world is deteriorating. Is there a new group of Death Eaters out there? Is it a remainder of Voldemort's plans? Rumours and speculation run rampid as the Ministry tries to determine the cause. As more and more Muggles stumble across the magical world and it's people, violence and hatred cross barriers, leaving Witches and Wizards every where wondering if maybe Voldemort had been right after all. Now, as a new year dawns, Death Eaters and Order members will have to come together to fight off this new threat. Will old grievances get in the way and tear apart old wounds? How will new policies be hammered out? And most importantly, will the Wizarding world be able to survive as the hunted minority?

WIZANGST This game is MOSTLY AU. It's the trio's 7th year! You can play students, teachers, alumni or whatever you want. Incorporate the older alumni into the school however you want, or you can play them out of the school. The game is based on HET smut and relationships. The war is over, Voldemort is dead but Death Eaters and his supporters are still around and on the run. We like detailed writers even if it's a smutty game. The year is 1997 and the game will start on the 2nd of September when classes are getting started. Deaths from Deathly Hallows are void and all the characters are up for grabs. Yes, we have rules! Canon peronalities and relationships are required. While it's a smut game with some crack value, we want THAT canon touch. This means H/G, R/Hr, etc. If you don't like those, sorry. It is 2001, and Wizarding Britain is ripped in two.

The Trio’s hunt for Horcruxes hasn’t yielded success since the destruction of Slytherin’s locket in 1997. The Ministry is entering its sixth month of being controlled by the Death Eaters. Under Minister William Travers, personal liberties are at an all-time low and Muggleborns are practically slaves. At Hogwarts, the Carrows wreak havoc on the student body, with Headmistress Umbridge’s guidance and blessings. As they find themselves, one-by-one, on the Undesirables list, members of the Order of the Phoenix are moving into Number 12 Grimmauld Place, one of the only places they are safe. Disorder and oppression have become the status quo.

On the other hand, the Purebloods of society have found themselves in a Renaissance. Those who do not help the Death Eaters – or their un-Marked, junior faction, the Reactionary Federation – are taking to their legally established superiority with Golden Age decadence. Parties, marriages, and grandiose displays of wealth and power are commonplace. The Death Eaters and members of the Reactionary Federation, on the other hand, take their newfound power and use it to advance the Dark Lord’s aims amongst the populace. Whether they do so through laws, abuses of power, or outright terrorism depends on the person, but they make it known that there is a new order in the world, and that it will not suffer challengers.

Rent Asunder is a new Harry Potter RPG that opened on January 13th. We are AU post-HBP and, although we incorporate elements of the plot from DH, we do not use the same timeline and do not consider the epilogue. We’re seeking new players who are interested in character development within a larger plot. We are het, slash, femmeslash, and adult content friendly, but seek to focus more on characters and plot than shipping. Most roles are still open, including many major characters and many characters with a lot of plot attached.
