WHO: Amelia and anyone who wants a piece of her, figuratively
WHAT: Wandering around with free candy.. and a dog
WHERE: Coming from Frye's Leap Convenience and lingering outside Frou Frou
WHEN: Jan 9, Sunday, late afternoonish
RATING: So low
"Dinner will be done soon. Come home. Now".
That was the last text Amelia read while leaving the convenience store and greeting one excited dog when she came closer to it. The leash was tight enough around a pole, it actually took her a good minute to figure out the knot she did. Incoherent curses were made through the candy bar that was currently invading her mouth; and when she was able to take a bite, she took a big one. It was well deserved.
She took her time walking home. One slow step at a time. Avoiding cracks in the sidewalk - that she could see. Being snowy and all, it was hard to see what was crack and what wasn't. Plus, she wasn't looking down the whole time. If she did something stupid like that, she'd be flying across the road because a car decided to hug her in the wrong way.
Humming a song from one of her favorite bands via headphones, she nibbled on that piece of candy like it was something she hasn't had in such a really long time. It wasn't like it was banned in the house. Her Mom just didn't like her eating it. She says it would ruin her skin and make her break out. Oh, please. It doesn't do that at al-
"Oh, hello there you gorgeous dress." Her thoughts were interrupted by the dress teasing her between a thick piece of glass. The dog didn't like how she stopped dead in their tracks and looked back at her with a tilt of his head, before letting out a little whimper that caught her attention. "What? You don't think that would look good on me?" The piece of candy was pointed toward said dress and then toward herself. "You have horrible eyesight, my ugly friend," she followed up with and looking back toward the dress. Amelia was wrapped up with staring at the fabric, the detail and every little stitch that it could possibly have. It was black; it had strips; it was freaking perfect!
