WHO; Gideon Prewett and Amelia Bones
WHAT; enjoying the beachy time!
WHEN; Tuesday morning/early afternoon
WHERE; their bungalow/the beach
RATING; tbd
Gideon was awake surprisingly early, perhaps because of the different scenery outside. He'd heard about the time there was a beach, just before his arrival in the village, but it was nice to actually get to enjoy it. Accepting the disappearances of his nephews was getting easier, and the weather helped. He still had a life to live, though, and he was going to do just that. And today, he was going to get a jump start on sun and sand.
It was perhaps a bit strange, wearing shorts and swim trunks only days after donning sweaters and trousers, but he wasn't going to knock it. He awoke before Amelia, took care of the dog, and hopped into the shower for a quick wash. If Mel was still sleeping, Gideon was going to let her sleep. That's what this time was for, after all, and he was half surprised she was still asleep when he was toweling off. He knew she often had problems sleeping, so the fact that she hadn't woken up due to his absence or to the running water in the other room was surprising, but not unpleasantly so.
Tugging on a sleeveless shirt and a pair of trunks, he glanced over at his girlfriend every once in a while to see if her eyes were still closed. He wasn't otherwise inclined to wake her, but once Gideon was done getting ready for the day, he knew it was time. He sat down on the edge of the bed and gently touched the side of her face, brushing his thumb against her skin. "Mel. Come on, unless you want to sleep the beach away." Gideon would've woken her up quietly and gradually, but Kosmo picked that moment to march back into the bedroom and bark at the two of them. So much for that plan. Thanks, dog.
