Why couldn't she bury him? Gideon couldn't think of a valid reason, aside from the fact that it would be more fun for both of them if he buried her. "Because you deserve to relax while someone pushes sand over your body?" he suggested, not entirely convinced of the truth of it. Gideon was fully aware that burying him would give Emmy and Mel something to do for a longer amount of time, but he had no desire to be buried any more than Amelia. She was correct, however, in guessing that he would enjoy watching her change clothes. It was tricky to do while trying not to be creepy, but if Mel didn't want Gideon to watch, she would've left the room. It was also a little late to be bashful with a baby brewing in her belly.
He did agree with the idea of getting food, and he thought it would be a perfect chance to go to the Tiki Hut. Amelia would remember it from the last time, but Gideon wanted to check it out and see what sort of stuff it had. "Yeah, we can do that. I'm pretty damn hungry, too." Gideon had to grin, though, at her misplaced confidence. "I bet you can't," he replied, eyebrows raising slightly at her. He let it go, though. "We'll have to find out," he said, moving to leave the house now that they were both ready to go outside. Once out the front door, Gideon took Amelia's hand in his as they walked to Ted's Tiki Hut.
