"Oi," he said with a laugh, fully aware that Amelia was joking but not willing to let it go completely. "How do you think I managed on my own back home?" Often, Gideon didn't fully know how he managed on his own. Yes, he still had Molly to cook for him, but she had a growing family in his own time. He couldn't count on her every day, nor would he want to put that all on her shoulders. Muggle diners worked just fine, as did the Leaky Cauldron and other wizarding places. A diet consisting almost entirely of takeout wasn't necessarily the best thing, but it had suited Gideon well enough.
Mel didn't have to tell him twice, though, and he took his plate back up. She didn't have to tell him at all, actually, but it didn't matter. Gideon wasn't about to let his food get cold, and he shoveled a forkful into his mouth while Amelia gave her requests. "That'll be soon, though. Think we can pull it off?" He did agree with her, since it would be no good for her to walk down any aisles only to go into labor. And it was perhaps a lot to plan, both a baby and a wedding, but the wedding would obviously be small. They could probably plan that in a day or two as far as Gid was concerned. He just wanted to see what she thought about it all.
