Ginny couldn't help but feel some sort of responsibility towards Victoire. She got the sense that her niece didn't quite feel as part of the family as she ought to have and while they were in the village alone, back when the magic had gone all wonky, Ginny had enjoyed getting to know her much better. Of course, she was only an infant in the redhead's proper time and place. Ginny's first niece. There were many more to come, she'd found out since being here, but Victoire she knew at home. And since Bill had disappeared...Well someone needed to look out for her, didn't they? She knew that Fleur was here and was probably doing her best, but knowing how her own kids felt about her handling their problems and knowing how she felt about talking to her mum who didn't really know her yet, she felt like it couldn't hurt to offer an extra set of ears.
She couldn't help but notice Victoire and Kitty ducking out of the wedding far earlier than anyone else. Of course, Kitty was still an infant and likely needed to be put down for a nap or something, but still. It didn't sit right with Ginny and so she made a mental note to check in with her about it just in case. If it was just Kitty, then it was no big deal, but if it was something else...
After a brief chat in the journals, she realized that something was terribly wrong, though it didn't occur to her what it might be. She hadn't been in the village long enough to know about the tension between Victoire and Teddy and Amelia. She hadn't even known that Teddy was Kitty's father. Or that he was dating Amelia. Or anything really that had happened between them. She just figured that Kitty's father wasn't here for the same reason loads of people weren't here--they simply hadn't been pulled.
Wrapping up some biscuits and small cakes, she headed out to Victoire's house. If nothing else, it would be good for them to talk, she figured and who didn't feel at least a little better after a nice cuppa? When she got to the front step, she gave a knock at the door and waited for her niece to answer.
