Ginny squeezed Victoire's hand assuringly. "If you were younger you wouldn't have your beautiful daughter. Who needs you. So if Teddy leaves and comes back and needs you too, then you be here for him. But until that happens, you need to take care of you. That little girl needs her mum so you have to take care of yourself. Which just means putting a bit of distance between you and Teddy. For now." Ginny knew there wasn't 'moving on' from someone you loved. That had been her plan third year, hadn't it and look at her now, still in love with the same boy she'd always been in love with. And still wondering if he felt the same way.
"So you tell him as much. You be polite, but firm and lay down the rules. You have every right to decide who in an influence on your daughter and if that means that he has to limit who he spends time with around her then that is something he will have to figure out. He's the one who chose not to be here full-time, he will have to listen to your rules." Ginny took a breath and ran a quick hand through her messy waves. "Kitty deserves a bit of stability and her parents fighting isn't going to give her that."
