Not to sound like the new guy, but since that's what I am, what the hell hit this town? I have some information from the welcoming committee, but I'm still trying to piece this whole thing together. In the meantime, can I do anything to help? I have some degree of medical knowledge, a lot of field medic experience, and can take direction well.

I'm Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, by the way. Though I'm going to guess that the ranking doesn't mean much here.

I know a lot of folks who show up aren't from a world like this one or maybe you just never learned how to cook from anyone, but I'm going to be offering up baking lessons down at the rec center. Figure will start with cookies and make our way up to a respectable meal once all's said and done.

Well, I think I've probably peaked. That's it, can't do any better.

Today's mission: JackJack and I are going to bake a cake!

It is official: we have four baby jackalopes at Honnleath Farm (two male and two female). This should be the last litter, Maker be praised, as Tabitha is slated to be fixed as promptly as possible.

I would like to find homes for all of them; thus far, only one has been claimed. They should be weaned in six weeks or so. If you would like to visit them in the meantime, let me know.

So, is there like a typical thing to do to celebrate birthdays here?

This is going to sound really stupid, but are things around here cheap or expensive? Nobody where I come from has used money in almost a hundred years, and I don't want to be swindled because I don't know what's reasonable and what isn't.

Things we learned today!

1. Chupacabras are disgusting.

2. Tiny goats are adorable. The farmer we saved from the monster gave us two as a thank you, and one of them thinks that Barkimedes is his mother.


In related news, if anyone wants to know what roasted chupacabra tastes like, we're having a bonfire on the beach tonight.

Okay, hi! I suppose I should have posted this a bit ago, but it's all been a bit much being here, right? And I've been trying to get around to see everyone, and --

Well, anyway, my name is Korra! I'm the Avatar -- which is, uh, sort of like a master of elements and I have some spiritual powers and past lives -- well, I used to have connections to past lives. I suppose they're still technically there, but I can't exactly speak to them the same anymore. Is any of this making sense?

Long story short: can't wait to meet everyone!

All right, we've got more new people in this month than we have in a while, so this is me telling you to be nice to your new neighbors, blah blah blah. A few came in last night, too, so if everyone could be friendly for a least a couple days before you start screwing with them, that'd be great.
