claire winchester is not your typical superhero ([info]goallbuffyonus) wrote in [info]colligo_network,

You have to be kidding me. It's one thing to not be able to see my dad, or Peter, or Molly. It's another entirely not to be able to see my children.

[Loki]
Right, so, do you think maybe you could come by to keep an eye on the kids for a little bit until we can figure something else out? Neither Dean or I can see them and, while I'm pretty sure they won't take too much advantage of the situation, I still don't really want them on their own.

Wait. You and Dean can see each other, but neither of you can see Meri or Jack? Please tell me that you can see Gabi. I wouldn't know what

I'll be over immediately. As much as I would like to think the worst they would do is raid the freezer, it is probably better to be safe than sorry.

Nope. Can't see Gabi either. I'm just glad we finally got Meri past the point of trying to get rid of her at every turn, before this happened.

Thank you. Like I said, I'm hoping they won't try to burn the house down or anything but, well, they are my kids and I'm not exactly known for doing the smartest thing, all the time.

I am not sure I even know how to respond to that. She is little more than a babe. She is hardly in the position to care for herself.

Do you think they will be able to see each other? I am not entirely sure how this works for those native to this place.

And I doubt they would burn the house down. Dig up the yard, maybe? Tear some things apart plying with Chomper, but I do think the destruction would be kept to things that can be salvageable.

She's is just a babe. She's not even a year yet. Hell, she's just barely crawling. Fortunately, though, Jack and Meri are both pretty good at keeping an eye on her. Especially Jack.

And... I never thought of that, but I really hope so. If they can't even see each other, well, I think I'm actually going to murder Asaph.

As for them behaving, let's just be safe rather than sorry. Like I said, Dean and I will try to figure out something else, long term, but we really just need help on the spot right now.

Probably not. Feel free to just use the front door. It's unlocked. And, if for some reason it isn't, you know where we put the spare.

Also, after this is said and done? Remind me to just get you you're own key. Just in case this crap happens again.

Also, also, since I'm apparently being ridiculously selfish right now, I totally forgot to ask. How are you handling all of this?

You have your kids to worry about, Claire. You're allowed to be selfish. The only thing I have to be concerned over is a painfully naive older brother who will now have to figure out how to get along in this place on his own.

At least Thor has never had any trouble making friends.

True. But it still doesn't give me the right to completely forget about the troubles of everybody else. That's, like, stuff teen!me would've done. I'm supposed to be older and more mature now, or something.

Speaking of Thor, it looks like he's noticed that he can't find the others. If the ALLCAPS complaint about everyone giving their "solemn word" they would feast tonight is anything to go on.

Maturity is often overrated.

I should be surprised. Or perhaps I shouldn't be. It would be like him to go from one from of shouting to another. I do hope that he manages to get himself settled in without too much trouble.

I do wonder why Asaph decided to force us into this position, though, when he had only just arrived. We barely got the chance to speak.

Loki
[info]goallbuffyonus

That it definitely is.

And I'm sure Thor will be fine, Loki. He does have other people around who at least know about him. Of course, I say that... right as he starts speaking to Emma. Because that can't possibly end terribly or anything.

As for Asaph, there's no freaking telling. Half the time, I'm not even sure he knows why he does what he does.

We'll just keep our fingers crossed that that doesn't get out of hand. I do have faith enough that they are both capable of restraint. As long as no one brings up the fact she made me bleed without explaining further, at least.

A sentiment I can unfortunately understand.

If it were possible to convince my Uncle to give a little leeway in this situation, I would. Though, at the moment, I probably wouldn't even be able to find him, or probably any of my family, if I looked.

Now we both know that isn't entirely true. Emmy is, technically speaking at least, from another reality than you are. But I don't expect her to get involved in this. She never does.

One of the disadvantages of being the neutral third party. Or, at least, of being there only to observe rather than meddle.

[ Claire ]
You do have something figured out, though, right? Obviously I am not really in the position to help, all things considered, but I don't want the kids having to survive on the rules of the wild.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]goallbuffyonus
2012-09-08 04:19 am UTC (link)
Right. Neutral third party. We'll go with that.

[Lucifer]
Yes and no. I mean, Loki can see all of the kids, so he can help out for now and is on his way over. Or possibly here and just not inside yet. It's Loki. I don't question.

Plus we still have Adam. Who, if the sudden twenty questions about how to change a baby that I'm getting from him are any indication, tells me he's at least watching after Gabi right now.

But, with the way things are going, I'm not even sure the kids can see each other. As for them having to survive on the rules of the wild, well, all I can say is, if there are any kids I think who could manage it, it'd probably be mine. If Jack can't talk sense into it, Meri can shoot it. Or stab it. Or douse it with holy water. Or any of the other nine hundred and seventy-five ways to deal with trouble around here.

So at least there's that.

Nobody will ever be able to say your brood aren't self sufficient. Granted, Winchesters all tend to be. We'll just hope they end up light on the emotionally fucked up.

Nobody can see anyone from their own reality right now. Apparently, because my kids are considered mine and my husband's - and we're from two different realities - neither of us can see them and they can't see us either.

It happened last year, too, but it wasn't this extensive.

[Tony]
And I'm sure you'll say you're fine, because you're you, but I still need to ask. Are you okay?

[info]goallbuffyonus

Yes, but if i tell you who, you're probably going to lecture me. Or give me a look. Or use big words that I don't understand. Possibly all three. So I'm just going with "yes" and leaving it at that.

[Tony]
You sound like the Doctor right now, you do know that, right? And he's no more "fine" without his friends than you are.

It's not Lucifer, is it? I thought he was already in one of your universes. And I assume it's not my dad.

[Claire]
Which one? Does he drink?

[info]goallbuffyonus

No, it's not Lucifer. He's from Dean's reality. And it isn't your dad. I don't really know him.

It's Loki.

[Tony]
Does it matter? They're all "fine" if you ask them. But, specifically, I was speaking of the Eleventh. He's the one I'm closest with. And no. He definitely doesn't drink.

[info]tonystarks
2012-09-07 03:13 am UTC (link)
Seriously? I thought he couldn't be around children. Violates the terms of his intergalactic parole. Like crossing the threshold of a church.

[Claire]
Well, he's the Doctor, he requires companions. Everyone knows I don't play well with others.
Damn. So this is going to be the worst undisclosed period of time in the history of the universe.

My kids happen to adore him. Not to mention, they listen to him. That's not even a claim I can make. And seriously. Has it ever occurred to any of you that most of Loki's issues could be dealt with by a simple act of acceptance despite the fact that he's not actually Asgardian?

[Tony]
Except the other Avengers, you mean. And Pepper. Because you seem to play pretty well with all of them. Just saying.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]tonystarks
2012-09-07 04:54 am UTC (link)
Yeah, I really don't give a shit where he's from. I didn't know what ASGARD was until Thor came around, so any issues I may have with him are not related to his personal history. OUR personal history, sure. His, not so much.

[Claire]
Well, we've learned to put up with each other better than we put up with most. Clint just sticks around for the free stuff.

Considering you're talking to a girl who totally forgave a man who sawed off the top of her head, poked around in her brain, and murdered both of her bio-parents... yeah. Safe to say, you're probably barking up the wrong tree if you expect me to judge Loki based on anything he's done before he came to this city.

[Tony]
You do know I'm not buying any of that, right? They're your friends, and no amount of you claiming that you can manage just fine on your own is going to change that, Tony.

Also, have I mentioned I really wish I could get drunk right now? Because, seriously. Wishing that so freaking much.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]tonystarks
2012-09-12 12:38 am UTC (link)
...yeah, i think at that point, forgiveness is a character flaw. Or a lack of survival instinct. As someone who CAN die, and nearly did several times, I can't afford to be quite that accepting.

[Claire]
I can manage fine on my own. I just usually prefer not to, because drinking alone is weird.

You can't get drunk? Because you're indestructible, or because you're responsible? I'll only accept one of those excuses as legitimate.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]goallbuffyonus
2012-09-12 01:21 am UTC (link)
You're probably right. It probably is a character flaw of mine. But, as far as I'm concerned, it's a good one to have.

[Tony]
Okay. We'll go with that.

And I can't get drunk because of the indestructible thing, definitely. My body counteracts the alcohol before it can do anything. Like Steve and Logan, basically.
